The debate is over. Kevin Love is the undisputed best Power Forward in the game. Blake gets alot of hype for his highlights, but his game is strictly based on athleticism right now. Love is probably the hardest player in the league. Love has alot of Charles Barkley in his game as far as toughness and desire. What Love lacks in athleticism, he makes up for in shooting, toughness, skill, and IQ. Blake maybe more entertaining, but the best power forward is Kevin Love. I had to give respect was respect is due. If love was on the Clippers they would not be fighting for a playoff spot right night, they would be fighting for a number one seed.

Minus the longevity and a ring, i think Love has shown he’s the best all around pf in the game as of today.

The great things about Kevin Love is IF he were to be devastatingly injured, he STILL possesses unreal shooting range, above average passing ability, and a high basketball IQ. If Blake did, A WHOLE LOT of his game would be affected and pretty much is bad news. I love his old school game, makes me think about Arvydas Sabonis in his Portland days, I’m NOT COMPARING the two, but just saying that I like how they both played without superior athleticism but held it down with fundamentals for the big guys in the L.

Right now, at this very moment, Kevin Love is the best Power Forward on Planet Earth. Sure, there are players who have much higher cielings, but the way this guy works is unmatched today… He just shows ZERO quit in his game. He’s only going to continue to improve, and with that he’ll continue to put his doubters to shame.

Dirk is the best offensive Power Foward, Love is the best All-Around Power Foward.

Dirk is the best offensively, yes. But I can really see the argument that Love is barely behind him there.. Given Dirk is having a slow year, but Love is really expanding his game.

^Ever since his slow start, Dirk is arguably having one of the best stints of his career, he’s putting up points in bunches, he’s averaging 25 points per game this month despite a 5-21 dud yesterday, before last night, he was averaging 28 a game his last 5. His shooting percentages are a bit down, and so are his points, but he’s still at 21 for the season, and that’s despite the lowest minutes since his rookie season at 32 a game. I look for his points to be more toward 22.5 at the end of the season, even with his low minute totals. He’ll be averaging 18 a game for the next 5 years, he just has one of those games that age very well.

This isn’t even up for debate.  How is Dirk better then Love offensively?  He doesn’t score more nor does he shoot better then Love from long range anymore.  The only thing Dirk might do better is score in iso situations but Love is a much more dominant scorer then Dirk is right now not to mention he often get’s twice as many rebounds in a game as Dirk.  Before the season people wanted to say Aldridge was better, now people are still tryna claim Dirk is better.  No, just now.  Love is the best.

Both Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol will have completed their contracts.  Could this be the final two years they’re in Los Angeles?  Over the summer, Bryant has noted that he expects to play just two or three more seasons.  Does he decide to retire or will the Lakers be faced with a difficult decision?

Armed with a bevy of veterans to help a young and talented core already in Minnesota, expectations are high coming into the season for the T-Wolves. New additions to the starting five include Brandon Roy and Andrei Kirilenko, who will be expected to keep order on an extremely talented but green core in Minnesota.

Stein mentions Fisher as a possible late-season addition for the veteran’s minimum. However, Fisher, a favorite of Kobe Bryant’s, is not eligible to join the team until March.

Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott has a very young team with a number of high draft picks that need a lot playing time in order to develop and when the team drafted Tyler Zeller in June, he finally got a true center to work with.

There’s little doubt that both of these players are going to need some seasoning before being able to reach their true NBA potential. This season figures to be tough sledding for both the Hornets and their 2012 lottery selections in the brutal Western Conference.

When Novak became a free agent this past summer, the Knicks organization was determined to keep him in NYC. The Knicks were able to exceed the salary cap to re-sign Novak only after a surprising court ruling that led to a settlement between the NBA and the players’ union, which gave players claimed off waivers their “Early Bird rights.”]op][0

In addition, Novak also acknowledged that he’d have to continue to improve and expand his game if he wanted to be effective in the future.

“I think defenses are going to know my strengths and run me off the three-point line and do that kind of thing,” Novak explained. “This summer, I definitely put an emphasis on being able to put the ball on the floor. One or two dribbles, using my shot fake more; just understanding how defenses are going to play me.fsafda

“I don’t know, I think that there’s positions in the NBA,” Noah said. “I thought, to me, it was more like, wow, why would you [change]? I know that teams are going smaller, but I feel like the center position is still an important position. The center position is the man in the middle, the guy that clogs up the paint. If there wasn’t a center representing the East, and it was all forwards … I understand, because the game would probably be more exciting in terms of athleticism and dunks. Who wants to see a jump hook in an All-Star game? But I feel like it should still be appreciated.”

What We Learned From the Preseason: The Bulls are really going to miss the Bench Mob of yore. While Nate Robinson and Taj Gibson have both been excellent, and Jimmy Butler and Nazr Mohammed have looked respectable at times, guys like Marco Belinelli and Marquis Teague have been painfully disappointing. Also, it wouldn’t be surprising if Vlad Radmanovic doesn’t get out of street clothes for the remainder of the season. In short (if it’s not too late for that), the depth that Chicago was known for last season can no longer be considered a strength.

This part of the game has been the Raptors’ Achilles heel in past seasons as the team has not had adequate point guard depth. This year was supposed to be different because of the acquisitions of Kyle Lowry and Lucas, but on the final play of the scrimmage, Lucas crashed to the floor under rookie Quincy Acy.

“The culmination of this decision to move forward, we got to a point where we were pretty transparent, very direct as we are with all our players in this situation. As a fact, we reached a point where we had to make a decision, we made a final proposal on Friday morning that was unacceptable, we then came back to where we were beginning to execute a trade, initiation with another proposal. We were very transparent with James that if this was not acceptable, then we would have to move towards making the best decision for the franchise, given the fact that it was becoming a reality that more than likely, he would be signing elsewhere after the season. Once that reality was met, as we have in the past, this organization turned a page. We started to focus on what’s in the best interest to the program and focus on capitalizing on an opportunity that would help us both in the short term and also continue to strengthen the future of the Thunder organization and building this program in a sustainable fashion.”7547654
