valentineLove straight up for Ariza and Brewer, Lebron moves back to the 4, where I think he was more dominant there, you get 2 good wings, who says no?

The GoatParticipantThe Cavs shouldnt laugh, they are paying this guy big money to put up nights like his 1-5 shooting performance vs GS. The game changes quickly in the NBA – a stretch 4 was a novelty a few years ago. Its a necessity now, but you need to be able to offrr something else too, like rim protection. This guy sucks. I heard someone call this guy David Lee with a 3 ball and they arent far off. I cant believe hes on the espn Top 100 list. If the Cavs chave a chance to sell this guy and grab useful players in a trade like this one, the should be pulling the trigger.. fast.

markfitz14ParticipantNot that bad of a trade idea. Ariza has slowed down a ton though. They need to make a move that is at least similar. They need someone who can match up with Draymond. Who that is I am not sure. Gotta be a good defender though. Gotta be able to play multiple positions SF/PF/C. Dray is one of the only guys who can do it.
Supposedly Love called out Lebron after the GS game. Stepehen A said he got a report Love said "We need to take a long look in the mirror and it starts with our Leader" Then pointed at Lebron. After Love got destroyed that is just laugable. what is going through his head? and then the Instagram picture that he cropped himself in as a joke a few weeks ago becuase they took a picture without him AGAIN. Wow Love just does not fit on this team.
Maybe go after Antetuokumbo(?) since the Bucks need a nice scorer. Not sure they would make the trade since he is still got growing potential.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI don’t think Miami would be interested but a bosh for love swap is something Cleveland should at least entertain if miami would be willing. Bosh would clearly be a better fit with Cleveland than love. He is a better defender, has experience playing with lebron and as a third option. Miami would, in theory at least, get a younger player who just 2 years ago was still in the discussion for best pf in the league and is still very much in his prime. Love would be more of an offensive focal point in Miami, and maybe could get back closer to his previous levels of production.
Not expecting this to happen at all, and I doubt Miami would be willing to deal with Cleveland, but just throwing it out there as an idea.

timinator1ParticipantHe just got away from LeBron, doubt he’s itching to go back to third wheel status. Plus nobody give up South Beach for Cleveland unless you are born there (LBJ) or are on your way out of the league otherwise (James Jones, Mike Miller)

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantNot sure, but it would give him a better chance to win another ring. I know its not gonna happen anyway. I was more just throwing it out there as a "what if" scenario.

Andrew1984ParticipantI have to confess that I was thrilled with the Love trade when it happened, but I am now ready to admit I was wrong. I watched a lot of Minnesota games while he was there, and the player I’m watching now just does not look like the same guy at all.
He was never a good defender, but his shot looks totally different. His mechanics were so much better in Minnesota. He got more arc on his shot and he had so much more confidence, so much more versatility. He doesn’t even run the same. His actual gait looks different. He just looks like a stiff now. He doesn’t look fluid anymore.
I really did not think it was possible to be so good — historically good; no player had EVER rebounded that well while simultaneously shooting the ball from the perimeter that efficiently — and then to regress this much!
I think it just goes to show that playing with LeBron is a two-edged sword. You get a lot of looks you wouldn’t have otherwise had, but there is just something mysteriously difficult about playing with LeBron. If you look at his first seven years in Cleveland, nobody brought to town to play with him was as good as hoped; Larry Hughes, Antawn Jamison, Wally World, etc.
When LeBron was in Miami, Chris Bosh didn’t play as well as he has this year and Wade didn’t play as well as he did last year. It’s such a difficult thing to explain because by all accounts, LeBron is not a bad teammate, he’s always been a willing passer, he tends to support and encourage his teammates, but yet, the evidence shows that he’s hard to play with.

SlickBouncePassParticipantWhat does Lebron have to do with Kevin Love’s piss poor defense?
What does he have to do with Kevin Love’s inconsistent shot? or his form? WTF???
Larry Hughes, Antawn Jamison, Wally World…..sorry…..all those guys are just average players.
You have to be basically a football player to play with Lebron, because thats what he is. You have to play really really hard and feed off his energy.
Thats why guys with that ass-kick mentality like Chalmers, Birdman, Wade….were abel to play with him. You just need to play HARD. Don’t blame Lebron for Kevin Love SUCKING.
Soft as Charmin. He gets soft rebounds. He is a 6’10” guy shooting 3s. and he cant’ defend, period. He’s lame and you know exposes guys like that?
Having to play when the going gets tough! This is wehre numberes go wrong? You know what? LOVE can’t play under pressure!!!
Great players play big in big spots. That bum that wowed you in Minnesota, had no pressure, and never did squat in the playoffs. Come on MANNNN

Andrew1984ParticipantI’m not blaming LeBron. Love has stunk it up and regressed. Making a different point entirely, although it is a factor.

natevalParticipantHold the negs. On NBA radio today Justin Termane and Eddie Johnson talked to a caller who said Love for Sully and Bradley. Bradley has become a really nice player and is a really good defender. If the Cavs think Golden State is the team to beat Bradley’s defense on Curry or Thompson would be a welcome additon. Both Termane and Johnson thought it was a good trade for both teams.
As a Celtics fan I think Love would have more value. I haven’t watched many of his games this season but I find it tough to believe Love forgot how to play, he could definately use a change of scenery.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantNot terrible. Boston would probably have to throw in one of their draft picks as well for Cleveland to consider it though.
Ultimately, I think this is just a lot of speculation about nothing however. I don’t see Cleveland trading love this season. I think it’s more likely they make a coaching change if anything.

eXKaliberParticipantI like the Love to Boston idea as I think it would be mutually beneficial for both squads. Worked a little ESPN Trade Machine magic and a Love + Mozgov to Boston for Lee (Salary filler and cap relief next season) Bradley (Permiter defender extraordinaire) + Jordan Mickey (Young athelete/depth the Cavs could use). I think Boston would probably have to throw in whatever late first they or have a few 2nd rounders.
Gives the Cavs a potential starting lineup of Kyrie, Bradley, JR, Lebron, and Thompson. Overall much more flexible defensively, which is what they need to focus on to knock off GS or the Spurs in the finals
