As I’ve said before, I write for onlinesportsfanatic.com and have been doing my best to put together some info on this year’s draft. I’ve already released my position rankings, big board, and first mock draft and now I’m ready to start my team previews. If you haven’t seen the rest of my coverage look for links in my blog or on onlinesportsfanatic.com.

The Clippers’ preview is shorter then most of them will be since there’s a clear favorite as to who they’ll take. With the rest of the team I’ll be able to break down the different players they could take and how they’ll fit in with the team. Leave your comments on what the Clippers should do here or on the article.

After finishing this season with a record of 19-63, the Los Angeles Clippers benefited from the lottery yet again and will get to pick first in the 2009 NBA Draft. Blake Griffin is the early favorite to go to L.A but I’m sure they have their eyes on other top players like Ricky Rubio and Hasheem Thabeet.

For the first time in the seven years, the Clippers were without their star forward Elton Brand after losing him to free agency. That, along with the signing of Baron Davis being a complete failure, contributed to L.A’s worst season since 2000. They were hurt by injuries all year and never really got things going. If you’re looking for a positive from this awful season it would have to be the play of their young stars, Eric Gordon and Al Thorton.
