Oh, forgot to add, Knicks play Wizards today, hence the video (Summer League 2010). I believe that game in the video was their first matchup. Today obviously has more bearing into it, now with Lin being a starting point guard in the league (!!!). In saying that, it’s gonna be a good watch. I just know the Mavs can’t believe they let Lin go given his latest performances. Who do you guys think will win the individual matchup between the 2 for tonights game?

When the season started I couldnt watch the Knicks. They played terrible ofense, they couldnt run a p&r for amare or tyson. Jeremy Lin changed it diametrically. He runs the p&r so well. If he keeps it up he will save the job for D’Antoni.

8pts and 8ast after the first half. WOW.

I might be crazy but, does he remind anyone of Nash? He’s very shifty and deceptive, accurate passer.

Man I hate this my internet is so slow lol can’t watch league pass for another week  :(. I saw Lin’s stats and they’re good once again. Can anyone tell me if he’s winning head-to-head against Wall? And can people post about the performances of the players in other games as well?

This is the feel good story of the year. I feel happy for him, and see that he has an unbelievably bright future. He just needs to develop a better jumpshot and have a go to move as well as continuing to play suffocating defense.

Three straight game of 20 and 7, that really is somthing. He is showing signs that he may be a top contributor for a team.

Knicks finally have a point guard who can run the p&r with amare. Can wait to see them playing together.

This was against the Wizards.  He may turn out to be very good possibly even a starter, but lets slow our rolls.  It’s obvious for the first three games, however, that Dantoni’s offense fits him well

I was at the game today, and Lin plays with such poise and maturity. He plays so heady with such high basketball iq. He never seems to play outside of his limitations or force the issue.  He is an average athlete and not the fastest or quickest, but he knows how to make space and use it.  Wall had his way with Lin offensively though, and you could tell that an athelete of Wall’s caliber could get his.  Wall and the wizards are horrible defensively so I don’t know how much we can say from this game, but Lin’s understanding of the game is solid.  We’ll see how Lin does after teams scout him more and goes up agaisnt teams that can actually play defense, but I was impressed with his poise.

Lin is nothing special. He’s good, but put him in the Wizards offense system, and he would come down to earth. All the Knicks do is run PNR’s, and that’s what Lin excels at, Put Wall in that system, and he would dominate every game and get into the lane at will. But sadly, the Wizards want to run a jumpshooting system with barely any high ball screens.

Yet some how neither Shumpert, Douglas or Bibby could do anything productive in the D’Antonio offense.

Seriously, it is silly to say that this is all the offense. Aren’t you watching that Lin is frequently just isolating and taking his man off the dribble? It isn’t just off of pick and rolls.

I’m not saying this kind is becoming a 20 and 10 guard. Yes, the Nets have poor team defense and the Wizards even worse. But this kid is saving the Knicks season. And he was one game away from being cut and sent back down to the D-League (to sleep on someone else’s couch, presumably). This is a great story and he is playing good basketball. Friday night and the Lakers come to town. Second game of a back to back, so hopefully the Knicks will get them a little tired. Considering the Laker PGs, I think Lin could go for a fourth 20 point game in a row. If the Knicks get the win and Lin drops 20+, expect the internet to explode. He will come back down to earth eventually, probably when Melo comes back and take the ball out of his hands.

Lin and D’Antoni are perfect for each other, and yes, outside of his system, Lin wouldn’t be very good, but in this system, man it looks scary. Imagine if he can get A’mare and Melo flowing in the system, this team may be dangerous.

I don’t see how Melo works with this system. It isn’t like Melo will set a pick for Jeremy and then role to the hoop. He also won’t pick and pop for a jumper because he doesn’t like to catch and shoot. Melo prefers to catch, settle in, square up his guy, and then set up his own shot.

Really, this may be over-reacting, but I kind of want some creative doctoring by the Knicks medical staff where they don’t clear Melo to play for a week or more. D’Antonio can’t not play him if he is healthy.  But . . . if the Knick’s staff is sternly shaking their head, going "Hmm, I just don’t know, why don’t we give it another day to heal."  Then the Knicks could keep Melo on the bench for another week and probably run off a few more wins. Especially if a rested Amare gets back into the lineup to finish off some of those pick and roles.
