ProudGrandpaParticipantYup. Hibbert, West, and George is the best frontline in the league, overall, and maybe on each individual end of the court

LipstickParticipantJust looking through the first couple pages of threads here and the most recognition Indiana has been getting is either Granger trade ideas or Hibbert sounding off to the media.
Meanwhile, there’s all the talk about “what’s wrong with Wade?”, LeBron’s help, an offensive foul call that’s somehow controversial, and Miami being dubbed the Miami Cavaliers.
Can we all give Indiana’s defense, size, and domination in the paint some credit for putting Miami out of their comfort zone?

SiggyParticipantNo kidding. They were statistically the best defense in the league during the regular season and it’s carried over into the playoffs. Not only do they have Hibbert in the lane to protect the rim, but David West has also been very good defensively this yr, so he’s more front line support. They were also the best team in the league at defending the 3 pt line. They have superb individual perimeter defenders with length at every position. In their starting lineup they have no weak link on defense. They’re also a tremendous defensive rebounding team that plays with physicality and effort. So not only do they play good defense during the possession, but they also finish the possession by holding opposing teams to one shot. They are designed to only give up the lowest % shots in the game, which is the mid-range to long range 2.
Props are given and yes they are a bad matchup for Miami because their defense is designed to take away what Miami does best: spacing the floor for drive and kick.

NYK2010ParticipantThat Pacers defense is definitely special they stopped the Knicks and Heat both 2 of the best offenses in the East.
If they slow down the Heat’s 3 pt. shooting, don’t miss so many easy layups and limit their turnovers they should win Game 7 in Miami. Lebron is obviously great but I don’t think he can carry them to a win if Wade, Bosh play like they did in game 6.
