For_Never_EverParticipantLeBryan Nash, Marcus Smart completely took over this game defensively and offensively with 43 points between each other. Smart’s had 4 blocks, 4 steals, 7 assists and was a nightmare for other team PG’s handling the ball. CJ Leslie gets into foul trouble and fouls out.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantYeah Smart is good. Big strong guard. Reminds me of Eric Bledsoe or Marcus Banks

For_Never_EverParticipantHe has great size though to play either the 1 or 2. He looks 6’5, 235 pounds.

SiggyParticipantNash is still a bit of an enigma to me. He still seems to be single minded when he catches the ball and loves his stepback jumper despite it not going down at a good rate at all. He’s playing better this year though. He tried to embrace the role as THE go to guy last year and he failed. I think with the arrival of Marcus Smart that takes the pressure off of Nash.
Marcus Smart is simply a culture changing talent. Teammates can’t afford to slack or not play with good effort with him on the floor. I still think he needs more seasoning at the point, but being one and done could be too tempting for him. I think one thing that could lead him to coming back is that he’s such a team goal oriented player. He might come back just to see how far he could take this OK St team. He and Phil Forte are really close too. They’ve been playing ball together since like the 3rd grade. Maybe he comes back to play one more year with his buddy. In any case, I’ll pencil him in late lotto for now. He might not be a true PG or a SG, but he’s a difference maker on both ends of the floor. I’d like to see how he makes adjustments going forward. It’s early and the scouting report should be written on him soon. For example, I’d like to see how he adjusts to teams jumping on his right hand. He’s very right hand dominant.
