Bob BallParticipantWe can all agree Lebron is the best player on the planet has no Position. His ability to defend and Play all five spots on the floor is what makes him amazing. My question is where does he Lebron Rank at each position. If a situation where Lebron was forced to play at one position for a prolonged period of games where would he rank at each spot? At either wing spot he’s probably number 1. In todays small ball NBA is he a top5 or top10 power forward, what about Center? Lastly in the golden age of Pgs where does he rank?

BenchWarmerParticipantYou do have valid points, he is a very vesatile player. To me he is a wing player with uncanny passing with the size to play both forward positions. This said I do feel he is a pg at heart.
Here is my list where he ranks at each position. (Its my opinion feel free to move or add players as I will probably miss some)PG:
1. Paul
2. Rondo*
3. Parker
4. Rose *
5. Williams
6. LebronSG:
1. Lebron
2. Kobe *
3. Harden
4. Wade
5. Just realized how weak the two is.. am I missing someone?SF:
1. Lebron James
2. Durant
3. Carmelo
4. Paul George
5. PiercePF:
1. Scalabrine
2. Duncan
3. Randolph
4. Love*
5. Nowitski*
6. Blake
7. Bosh
8. Lee and Millsap
9. Lebron
What happened to 20 10 guys?
C:
1. Dwight
2. Bynum*
3. Noah

…
38: Lebron isnt a center and I can’t rank him here its impossible for me.*-assuming no injury or coming back 100%

BenchWarmerParticipantMeh I have enough respect to try and answer the guys question. People are negging him and providing no insite. Just thought id give the guy a legitimate answer, as Id hope others do with me.
But since it sucks (which most agree lol) Id love to hear why?0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/11/2013 - 5:27pm #772694

MkadozaParticipantI’ll keep it simple.
Pg. 1a. Paul
1b. James.
Sg.1. James
Sf. 1. James
Pf. 1. James
C. 1. JamesHes a mismatch at every position, and has the size and skills to do well at all of them. And he brings skills that no one else does, no matter where he plays.

jhbm24ParticipantDid this post get negged? That’s the biggest question for me..
And I personally say he’s at least top 5 in every position.
@benchwarmer how could you possible have Deron Williams over Lebron AND Westbrook in PGs!?!?

BenchWarmerParticipantWell while westbrook is the better player, he hasnt really ran a team and isnt nearly the pointguard Williams is. But now that you mention it I would rather have Lebron running the point right now.

jhbm24ParticipantThe Thunder now without Westbrook hasn’t opened your eyes? He HAS ran that thunder team to the finals as the PG. he may not be a conventional PG but he’s definately been running it and well. While deron hasn’t gotten a team to the finals let alone the conference finals, except the year the warriors stunned the world by beating the number one seed. And Deron Williams couldn’t lead a super high salary team past the injury ridden bulls in the first round. So I don’t see how your argument has anything to really stand on.

BenchWarmerParticipantAnybody that actually watches Westbrook knows he does not run the Thunder from the point but yes he has co-lead on successful teams but wouldnt say he ran the team.

FastAndFuriousParticipantIma keep it even more simple.
If Lebron is quote on quote already top 5-10 ever, how does he rank lower than 1 on any list?
Don’t contradict yourself’s, he’d be the #1 PG,SG,SF,PF,C in the NBA period.

GottaBeTheShoesParticipantWhere they rank on the best ever has nothing to do with it. Wilt wouldn’t have been #1 PG/SG/SF. Jordan would not be able to bang with the bigs (most likely), neither could Kobe. Only guy that can possibly be good at all positions that I can think of is Magic Johnson but i’m not old enough to have watched him play. Lebron’s the best at his position and the best overall player in the NBA, that’s all he needs. I don’t think he’d play extremely well at Center but he’s special enough to be considered one of the top in each position if he was put in each situation.

FastAndFuriousParticipantWilt couldn’t effectively play the PG/SG/SF, he didn’t have the skillset at all for it
Jordan was 6’6 215…too small to be down low
Kobe is 6’6 205……too small to be down low
Lebron is 6’8 260 meaning he could easily play against any Power Forward and bang with the Centers and be effect
Marc Gasol is 269
Dwight Howard is 264
Tyson Chandler is 240
Al Horford is 250
Lebron is very very gifted, he could easily be ok at Center

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantYes that makes sense, but your first post didn’t make much sense logically.
“OK at center” isn’t the same as best in the league.

HaleParticipantThe only position he wouldn’t hands down be #1 at is center. He’d still be top 3-5 though.
