Ahkasi ClayParticipantLeBron Passed kobe on the all-time post season scoring list.
I know the Hater will hate, and use excuses like kobe didn’t play in the playoffs 1/4 of his career. but I want to say how amazing this really is,
Kobe was a bulk shooter, the main thin he did was score, he also played 7 years more than Lebron ( 7 years is longer than a average NBA career)
We have been lucky to watch Lebron, he is trully one of the greats, and if he can some how bring a Championship to Cleveland, (freakin Cleveland) it will be time to start discussing if he has passed Jordan.

Hype MachineMy Mt Rushmore is
- Jordan
- Kareem
- Lebron
- Magic
Lebron needs 1 or 2 more title to pass Kareem. Magic would be #2 for sure if he ddn’t get struck down while he still had 5 good years left.

goldie92689ParticipantYou can’t have a top 4 without Bill Russell. Basketball did not start in in 1980

holefillers1ParticipantWilt Chamberlain was better than Russell. I don’t care about championships. That takes more luck than skill to end up on a team good enough to win the title. See Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller.

DukeDaSquadParticipantJordan is off limits. I could see no possible reason someone would have for putting Lebron ahead of Jordan.

SubZeroParticipantTo me, the Mt. Rushmore is the 4 most iconic or influential players, not necessarily the 4 best. I don’t think very many people would say Bill Russell is a better basketball player than Kareem, but he won 11 rings as the best player on his team, there’s no way he can’t be on there
As for Lebron, I agree. As much as I’ve hated him the past 13 years, I’ve realized recently with all the Steph hype how great he’s been consistently through his career. I don’t know where I’d put him on an all-time list right now, but what’s for certain is that he is an all-timer

Memphis MadnessParticipantIf LeBron can lead Cleveland to the promised land, then he is on whatever "short company" list of NBA greats…
The Mount Rushmore. The All-Time First Team. Whatever.
3 rings, probably 3 Finals MVP trophies, with 7 Finals appearances including 6 straight.
Yeah, beat the Warriors then he is on those lists.
Kareem, Wilt, Russell, and Magic can flip a coin for those last two spots.
3 Finals MVP trophies would actually put him past Wilt, Kareem, Kobe, Larry Bird, and tie him with Magic, Shaq, and Tim Duncan.
Also, at a certain point, the number of total rings becomes a bit arbitrary.
In terms of pure ring count, you have to put Russell first, Jordan and Kareem tied for second, and then Kobe and Magic tied for fourth. That might not EXACTLY be the TRUE top 5 though.
3 rings puts you in the conversation. From there, it would be about longevity and lucky breaks.
