    Lebron Threatens Heckler

To be honest I dont know how these guys resist by any means. How can you standing at 6’7 260 pounds of lean yet solid muscle passup on beating the hell out of some average Joe making Delonte West/Lebrons Moms jokes to you in public. Right in your face. That is very tough I think Lebron deserves a 60 second standing ovation from everyone in this forum for maintaining his composure. Honestly speaking it would have been very easy for him to just snap and destroy this man. Night in and night out his own fans make fun of his lack of rings, his hairline, his mom, his clutch status and he maintains while basketball fans forget about how much he really does to entertain us and help keep our sport relative.

He isnt the greatest of all time but there is no need for any hate towards him. Let this be a Lebron appreciation thread had he made the wrong decision we would have to go a season or two without Lebron and hear about how he is handling his assault charges instead.

My question to you is how would you have handled this situation knowing your own personality. I think Lebron did well.

The Heat cruised to a 106-89 victory over the Wizards on Friday, but from the sound of it LeBron James experienced plenty of frustration during the game anyway. According to NBC Sports writer Sarah Kogod, LeBron got into it with a Wizards fan over — what else — the Delonte West situation. The heckling over West and LeBron’s mom seems to follow him anywhere he goes, but he was reportedly in no mood to hear it in Washington. Here are the tweets Kogod sent out that outlined what went down between King James and Wizards fan Bob Moore:

Listening to someone talk about your mother is difficult for everyone, but LeBron is a global icon. For him to be engaging hecklers like that is completely unacceptable, and I’m sure the NBA would agree. Between this and his whining earlier in the week about being an easy target, LeBron has clearly shown he’s not above getting frustrated by what people say about him.

I don’t care who you are, If I heard somebody talking about my mom like that, I’d beat somebody’s ass too. You just don’t talk about another person’s mama. Lol he’s lucky Lebron isn’t Ron Artest.

Technically he didn’t threaten the heckler. He spoke the truth. The only reason the fan said that stuff was because he knows that the 6ft7 260 lb man covered in tattoos can’t come off the court without getting in trouble. Also I’m sure that if Lebron had a free pass he would kick his ass…most people would have

No one tells LeBron’s mom to sit her ass down…except LeBron!

If you’re going to heckle, do it right. Bringing up something like Delonte West-LeBron’s mom is super-lazy. Then he complains about it like it was LeBron’s fault…so weak. If the Wizards cared at all about basketball, they would ban Bob Moore from ever attending another game…or maybe since it’s the Wizards, they should make him stay for 48 minutes of every game.

This is a non-issue in my mind. With any player. I remember the first time I ever sat court side at a game (only time I ever have in Toronto, thanks mom and dad). It was VC’s rookie season and the Raps were playing the Pistons. Some guy said something to Grant Hill (yes, that angel of a player Grant Hill) who proceeded to give the guy a nice cuss out. During the game.

Most of the time, I am sure you can drown this all out. But, once in a while, some @sshole comes and says something in a moment where you lose a bit of composure. Mom’s are usually kind of off limits. I honestly would love to see a d-bag get some swift justice, but they were just words. He did not go into the crowd (10th row, I believe) and knock a guy out like Vernon Maxwell. He did not pull a Ron-Ron or Michael Beasley with a hand in dude’s face. I think these things happen.

Plus, Kendrick Perkins sounded more like the cry baby to me than LeBron. Who gives a rat’s @ss what LeBron thought about a dunk that everyone thought was sick? LeBron is an easy target, people have a lot of ammo on the dude. The thing is, LeBron is KILLING it right now. We really only get the guys side of the story here, too. We have no idea the $hit he was talking, but to garner a reaction, he was probably a pretty supreme d!ck.

Did I just walk through a door to 2010? Why is this even a thing anymore?

Having said that, yeah, anyone who heckles a guy about his mom probably deserves whatever he gets.

I give him credit. I would have had to catch an A and B right there.

Lebron did not threaten him, he spoke the truth, if security and laws did not protect that fan he would have gotten beatdown.  I am starting to think a lot of our laws protect cowards. There should be a heckling or harrassing fine of some sort.

is what I told a guy after a heated rec league playoff game once, in which I heckled him on the court and off the cort pregame. I followed constantly, if he was checking in at the scorers table I would to and get so close the hair on my arm would touch his.I shut him down he was so uncomfortable, I followed him to the water fountain too. No hard feeling afterwards, I even bought him a beer later that night. I miss the old days when Gary Payton, John Starks, Charles Oakley and Reggie Miller would go at it. How is something off limits. I was amused when KG called Villenuava a cancer patient. You dont think Spike Lee ever brought up that Larry Brown let Sheyrl Miller shave here head and score 12points in like 12 seconds on the Knicks. Maybe because I’m 29 and didnt grow up playing with the best players from other schools on AAU teams. We always hated the guys from other cities or other schools no matter how good they were. Passion is watered down now and the basketball world is all front runners, its pathetic. How is it okay that people care about every little thing that famous people do but are criticized for scrutinizing them. Lebron is the best player in the world and if he played in pink socks alot of people would be playing in pink socks tomorrow. People care about everything about him good or bad, positive or negative. What Lebron said in reply to the guy was spot on but what the guy said was not out of bounds. If someone pays 600 bucks to get close enough to yell sh!t at Lebron more power to them. Do you think someone should get paid 18 million dollars a year to throw a round orange ball in a round orange rim if somebody isnt so insanely passionate about the sport to get 5000 season tickets when the average income is like 30,000. If I spent 1/6 my income for Wizards season tickets that the least you can do is put up with my verbal hatred of you.

"I’m right here baby. Let’s go." I bet because he said that he’s gonna tell his friends how he stepped up to LeBron. What a loser
