Espn noted that Lebron should become a Clipper. It honestly makes alot of sense. Personally I think Davis is a better point guard then Williams, Gordon is better then Parker, Griffin is better then any cavs forward and Kaman is better then Shaq and big z. They also have a better bench in Thorton and Camby. I agree that this would be the best option for Lebron but i doubt he would do it. Not to mention the Clippers could get a legit guard or forward in the draft this year

I think it would be a good choice from a teammate stand point, but as a player I would be a little bit scared of going to the Clippers. They have a history of losing, a terrible coach/gm, an owner who could care less about wins, and a few players who are getting older and more injury prone as your main help on the floor. All that said though, I do not think he would want to start a basketball division within LA. Things would certainly get interesting among the fans.

If Bron goes to LAC…Los Angeles would have been flooded with Clippers Bandwagon fans!

If Lebron actually leaves in an attempt to have a better chance to win then yes the Clippers are a good option. I’ve also noticed that the Nets have one of the best centers in Lopez, a solid point in Harris, and a trio of good young shooting guards in Lee, Williams, and CDR. Yi has come on as of late as well. If they get the first overall pick i would say they have the biggest chance to get Lebron is he is to leave.

I don’t think LeBron would go to LAC for one thing, that’s Kobe city! That’s his State! LeBron would hate being Second to Kobe & overshadowed by the Lakers always being known as L.A’s other team. I mean, if he went there he could very well change it. Who knows? I’d be surprised if he went there though, & isn’t Camby a free agent next year? Do they have enough to resign & bring LeBron? I doubt it happens, but it sure would be interesting to see unfold.

Yeah… They could be pretty decent especially with a very strong bench in Novak, Butler, Thornton and Jordan.

Their lineup could be- pg- Davis sg- Gordon sf-Lebron pf- Griffin c- Kaman
bench Butler, Thornton, Camby, Jordan, Novak Telfair Rush

They would need more big man depth, but this lineup would be very very good. I actually think having Lebron and Kobe in the same state and city would definately intensify their rivalry instead of making one more popular than the other. The only other things I would be concerned about would be injuries. Davis and Kaman have had some injury issues and obviously Blake Griffin with this years injury(he could be rookie of the year next year, still). This would be a great idea, but realistically, the Clippers don’t have enough salary cap space for this to happen and to keep to have solid bench player, unless they are willing to sign for less money.

camby would not be a clipper if lebron were one because his contract running out is the reason why they can sign someone.

I know clippers that Camby with his current contract would not be there… But if Lebron actually did go to the Clippers, someone like Camby might sign for much less than you would expect him to and much less than he is worth. He has expressed he likes LA and at this point in his career, I think he is just trying to win a championship- something that would definately be a possiblity if Lebron signed in L.A.

This is the only scenario that would put Lebron in Title Contention right away

This is a definite possibility. They have some pieces that are better than New Jersey (who I think have the best chance at him) and they definitely are in need at his position. This could be a very interesting proposition. This would also bring publicity to levels it has never seen before…I think the Clippers are a legit darkhorse for him

i guess it’s possible. I just don’t know if he wants to play on the “other” team in la. Lebron could win mvp and lead the clippers to the title. It would still be a laker town and kobe would be the most loved athlete in it.

i don’t know llperez. u know how much of a bandwagon city LA is. people started jumping on the clippers bandwagon just because they beat the lakers 2 weeks ago. imagine now if they were better than the lakers, had the game’s best player, and beat the lakers in the playoffs to advance to the finals where they win their first title. i think that would even out the city’s fans. i mean at least half of all LA laker fans are bandwagon fans – u can tell by the fact that when the clippers went to the 2nd round and the lakers were eliminated in the first, in those playoffs there were sell-outs every game for the clippers and much more clipper gear being worn through out the playoffs. then magically after livingston’s injury, the clipper fan base shrank. 1 year later the laker fan base expanded to the kobe-shaq day fanbase when the lakers acquired gasol. This team roots for those on top and if the clippers get to the top behind lebron, they will get a hell of a lot of bandwagon fans to match the lakers in city ownership. it might sound stupid to laker fans, but its ugly truth about many LA sports fans.

lots of casual fans would come up out of nowhere and rep the clippers hard if that were the case. The clippers would be the new cool thing and get everyone’s attention adn you would see plenty of fans wearing clipper gear, they would sale out and maybe even some celebrities start showing up to clipper games, and maybe that would be enough to keep lebron happy. But i went to the laker parade in 2002 and there was something like 3 million people flooding all of downtown los angeles. The lakers have history that can’t be surpassed in 5-10 years by the clippers no matter how good the clippers would become.

Maybe lebron would be happy with all that. But in the end there is no way he makes the city of los angeles a clipper town. Add in the very real possibilty that even lebron doesn’t make the clippers better then the lakers and now lebron has to be on the other team in kobe’s shadows and watch the lakers continue to win. That’s a big risk for lebron.

well even if they were not better at first, once kobe is gone the 2nd best player in the city would be one of his teammates so no way they aren’t better. the thing is people go to laker games to see the kobe show. only a select few can bring a show with them wherever they go to play: lebron, kobe, and wade. thats it. lebron would put them at the level where they would be title contenders every year and that would not be the case for lebron possibly if he went to NY. think about it, automatically he would have an amazing team in LA, whereas it might take a couple of years in NY and the NY fanbase at times can get harsh and being under the new york microscope when ur supporting cast sucks is a big risk as well. All places have their risks.

Sure alot of fans in L.A. but this new arrival will make the town estatic. This is the ultimate test for Lebron. Can he challenge the biggest team in Basketball History. Can he take make it in there own city
