I didnt get to watching Jordan play and I am just so thankful I get to see this man play. He flops which is annoying but its a generation thing, other than that I am proud to say one day I will get to tell my grand children about him like my gramps told me of older great players.
My reaction to LeBron's game winner. http://www.husky-owners.com/forum/uploads/gallery/album_5/gallery_1354_5...
that game winner was definitely a career moment.
on a seperate note, eric spolestra in this interview looks 40 years older than he is.
Yes,definetely a once ever 20 years type of player...Although Jordan(and Durant now )had a way better midrange game.He seemed lost when he couldnt blow by George or Stephenson. With that said what a powerful player.
you guys know 4 years ago on the same day Lebron made the game winner against Orlando
This doesn't qualify as a moment to me (only my opinion). He made a layup on a bad defensive play. It was a great play call and Lebron read it perfectly but the defense was horrible.
Have to make Lebron a shooter in clutch situations. he is a hesitant/reluctant shooter in big moments.
I swear, the only thought in my mind was "what a pessimist"... then I read your name lmao
Lol! I'm not being a pessimist. I am a huge fan of Lebron but he made an uncontested layup against bad defense. Awful defense. He didn't have to jab step or even make a move. he caught and went left and made a layup.
I guess it can be considered clutch but again...it was a wide open layup.
I was more impressed with the design of the play. What a great play call by Spoelstra.
I agree with the bad defense part, Paul George obviously with a bad close out and Sam Young, who shouldn't have been in the game, let him take the layup uncontested.
But why should he change his game to make it look like a better moment, he's great at attacking the basket and has an advantage everytime he takes the ball to the rim. I hate the whole jumpshot over layup thing at the end of games especially for a guy like Lebron.
No one is criticizing Lebron for taking a layup when it was given. He should not apologize for taking what was given to him. However, George closed out so poorly that it allowed an uncontested layup to occur. Even with Hibbert in the game; a clean blow by would put him in no man's land. So Lebron deserves credit but I happen to feel is was more bad defense than a great basketball play.
...Lebron is a special talent. The Peyton Manning of the NBA. Stats he puts up are ridiculous.
^I agree with thepessimest. It was definitely a career moment for Lebron, especially if that leads to a championship, but it was horrible defense. Mario Chalmers could've made that with the way Paul George positioned himself on that inbounds pass.
It was a great moment for him, but it's not on the level of something like Jordan's shots against the Jazz/Cavs or Magic's skyhook.
It definitely was a travel AND he took advantage because of it. That gamewinner never should have counted.
