LeBron the best?
I cannot understand how people will not admit that Lebron James is not the best player in the league. I think it is clear that Kobe Bryant is the best player in the league. Yes LeBron is good but he is not at the level kobe is at. Even asking players in the league and they say kobe is the best and leBron on occasions has said kobe is the best. So let me jus ask wat is it about kobe that makes people hate him so much? is it becuz he talks s*** while he plays?(i luv that) is it cuz he's cocky? the thing is kobe has stated that he doesnt care about about stats. He has stated if he wants to go out and score a bunch or be a stat man then he could but kobe doesnt care about that. You always here bron does this and bron leads team 2 best record and cavs are this and that but where are the cavs now? they are losin. now the media makes up the excuse lebron doesnt have enough help. are u serious? i need help with this one
the way he is going...he will be the best EVER
LBJ is the best player in the world and will be the best of all time in my opinion. if these playoffs havent proven it to you, then there's nothing i can say that will.
First off, I should point out that I'm a Kobe fan. But Lebron is right there with Kobe as far as I'm concerned. I'll continue to say Kobe is the best because I stick up for him as a fan, but I know that you could make an argument for either him or LeBron. I do believe that Kobe has more skill while LeBron is a physical freak of nature who's skill level is catching up to Kobe's quick. LeBron should become the greatest player to ever play this game considering he is only 24, but we all know that ultimately guys will be judged by their titles which is why Kobe needs to prove he can win without Shaq and LeBron will have his lack of titles held against him despite the fact that he has not had great talent around him. They are both great and they are good for each other because they push each other to be better.
...but Kobe has paid his dues, and right now, maybe it is just his time.
We'll see if they can match up with Dwight's crew, though.
alphamale wat has lebron proved? that he can get a llot of stast and lose? he's the reason nike is lookin like idiots now wit all those commercials. he didnt come thru and lead his team to the finals.
he's proven that he is the best player in the world. didnt you read my post? isnt it pretty ridiculous so say Lebron didnt come through? i think he did all one can ask.... in marketing you have to take those types of risks. if you remember Dan and Dave from the Olympics, that was a similar situation. the commercials are great nonetheless. with their track record i would hardly consider the people at Nike to be idiots...
Alphamale310, i must admit you're usually are on point with all of your arguments in the blogs & i'm not knocking your opinion b/c you are entitled to your opinion. I however, disagree with you about lebron being the best ever. I love lebron (although, i was a little disgusted by his lack of sportsmanship), but I just don't see lebron surpassing michael, now don't get me wrong lebron is a beast & one heck of a player, but right now he's just a stat stuffer just like m.j was early in his career. he has to win titles in order to prove that he belongs in that type of category. A perfect example is tim duncan. he is highly regarded by many as the best power forward in the history of the game over the likes of bob petit, karl malone, charles barkley, etc & that's mainly b/c of the 4 championship rings that he has to go along with the stats that he has put up. All of those guys have similar stats, but non of them have won a championship (well petit won one with the hawks). another example is jerry west (the nba logo himself), he went down in history as one of the best, but had he won more than one nba championship (by the way, he lost 8 times in the finals) don't u think he'd be in the debate for the greatest of all-time in nba history? My point is to be the best he's going to have to best the best which right now is m.j. M.J transcended the game, he changed the way the game is played. I think lebron is a sure-fire hall of famer as long as he stays healthy, but @ 24 only time will tell if he ultimately dethrones M.J.
you make some excellent points. There are no stats that are viewed as being bigger then winning a title. When Michael was in his prime, he was winning every title thus it is hard to argue against him being the best of all time. If LeBron wants to enter that category, then he will need to win a championship. So far he has gotten a bit of pass on having not won a title because he is still relatively young. But the skepticism and critics will get louder with each passing season until he does win one.
