scouts have always been hit or miss, but i think they just realized that they probably overrated this 2012 draft a lil bit last year.  people thought this draft was gonna be great because so many of the diaper dandy freshman from last year (barnes, sullinger, PJ3, etc…) returned to school.  Unfortunatley a lot of those guys didnt really show much growth from last year so now the scouts are starting to say that this is a very deep draft, but lacking in terms of having multiple sure fire all-stars

Is anyone else tired of every draft scouts saying its a weak draft or only one superstar talent. I remember last year every scout was saying this 2012 draft was best in a while. Now the same scouts are iffy. My guess is scouts dont want to put tjere name on the line projecting a player for stardom beside the consensus number one. If you look back on most drafts the consensus guy is rarely the overall best player. Lets not forget Mj went 3 in his draft. I see this draft has a number of highly rated players only a year ago coming out early so it dampens their prospects because of a freshman season. Everyone thinks that if you dont average 20 a game your freshman year your not a franchise talent. If you look at previous drafts that isnt the case. Drose averaged under 15 a game so did Westbrook amd many other stars. So if you look at a guy like austin rivers he could be the next great player. Also harrison barnes could be a tmac but he could also be nick young. Either way this draft has amazing talent i comes down to situation and fit.

yeah, I dont pay any attention to it.  its stupid to me to say that there is no superstar talent.  There are a ton of guys who could turn into stars and superstars even.  Barnes, Beal, and Drummond come to mind in the top half, also, if T-Rob went to Washington and became a K-Mart type player he could be a star.

Lillard is a guy who could light it up and Waiters/Rivers have star potential in the mid-late lottery.

Then you have guys like White, Harkless, and Miller who have excellent potential in the mid-late 1st round.

That fact that you could have a guy like Wroten possibly slip out of the 1st round but could become a star should tell how deep this draft is.

Scouts make the mistake of thinking a draft is weak just because most prospects are on an even keel.  This is a very balanced draft in terms of talent.

Actually this draft does look to be deep and if have a of the players that are so so reach their potential or come close, ,this draft could go down as one of the best.  It is too early because everyone has weaknesses and a lot of teams want some players to fall.  When a draft is this deep, every thing is hoping the teams about them screw up.  That is how you get Paul Pierce going 10. Rudy Gay falling and then getting traded for a role player.  Some teams are going to screw up and pass on a star.  With this depth it is possible that many team will screw up especially since Sullinger is not top 10 anymore.

This draft doesn’t have a lot of guys scouts will freely say will be all stars, super stars…There are a bunch of good players and some will certainly become all stars and faces of the franchise.
