This guy looks like and reminds me of Suge Knight I think we will be hearing from him for a long time. Everybody seems to talk sh! t behind his back but once they see him in person they change thier tune.

In a recent interview which aired about a week ago he said he is giving shoe companies the cold shoulder. When they talk to him about endorsement deals for his son Lonzo he rejects and demands they sign him to a co-branding distribution deal. If they dont get that deal they will use thier own brand "triple b’s".

Gotta say we may not like hearing Papa Ball run his mouth but he is defenitely stirring things up and creating a buzz for his kids. Theres no limit on how much money a marketing deal can bring you like an NBA deal so why not make the most of it. This is a buisness.  Lonzo Ball really has to show out during this tournament.

One thing I dont like is how he threw the Chini Hills HC under the bus. They recently lost to Metier Dei in a late game scenerio where the HC took a timeout which allowed thier opponents to set the defence. Lavar said he shouldve let his boys ay it out and if the HC didnt do things "HIS WAY" they wont have success.

Defenitely has a huge ego and is a control freak.

someone will draft Lonzo in the top 5, no denying that, but I just hope its not my Knicks. We don’t need anymore BS and drama and thats all this father is bringing to the table. I understand hes a proud father, but he   needs to stay out of the way and let his kid develop on his own and just keep his mouth shut. If your an NBA team, you have to ask yourself if this is going to be worth it.The only way you put up with his father is   if you know for certain Lonzo Ball is the next Lebron, Larry Bird, Magic, Jordan etc… which is highly unlikely.

I feel like hes going to do the same things the Mannings did if his son gets drafted by a team he doesnt like and try to get him traded to LA or a big market

Boston  New York and LA are good markets. Philly is a pretty good market as well especially with Embiid, Simmons and Saric there.  Maybe this could hapoen if he goes to Orlando  Phoenix or Sacramento but I doubt it. This isnt usually a big issue in the NBA and Lavar Ball also said recently that wouldnt be the case and that Lonxo will play for whiver drafts him. Maybe after the 2nd contract this could become an issue.

He reminds me of Serena and Venus Williams’ father, Richard.  He was really out in front and outspoken when they first broke onto the tour and rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.  He settled into the background once they got established.

Tiger Woods’ dad also had elements of this, basically saying this kid was going to be the second coming of Christ.

Didn’t he already say that Lonzo Ball will only play for the Lakers? That always disadvantages the other struggling teams.

The dad is going to funnel 3 possible lottery picks through UCLA’s system. How did they luck out?
