OhCanada-ParticipantI’m surprised nobody is talking about this kid. Just had a historical run at the Euro U-20 in Finland. He had some crazy stats. In 26-mpg he had 25-ppg 8.6-rpg 1.0-apg 1.3-bpg and 2.3-spg. Did anyone watch those games?
From the highlights I could find he looks like a legit new age PF that will be a threat all over the court. He seems to be very cerebral with his actions and quite physical at least with his own age group. His shot is money and he has the ball handling and athletisism to keep his s defenders to sag of him or get blown by and dunked on. Should be very interesting to watch him play at Arizona.
Watch out for this guy!

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantYeah he’s legit. He’s got a lot of great tools for a guy his age. He’s the euro thon maker

For_Never_EverParticipantI have preferred DX mocks. They seem to have more insight on prospects, and be more objective unbiased. This site at times I’d say tends to favor curtain prospects like Buddy Hield, Cody Zeller, Marcus Smarts and Bizmack Biybombo.

OhCanada-ParticipantDX is easily the most objective biased draftsite and has a history of tampering with players stocks. Rozier, Maker and Simmons are just a few examples.

For_Never_EverParticipantSo your saying this site didn’t have issues with Maker ?
What they had Simmons going second not first ?
What about Terry Rozier because I don’t know about it and wanna know ?

GBeeParticipantTampering with player stocks? You’re fooling yourself if you think DX and to a lesser degree .net’s, opinions actually matter to NBA decision makers. The only way I could see DX being used as a reference by any pro scouting department is for their comprehensive database. That’s about it. At the end of the day, their opinion doesn’t mean sht. I guarantee that they have ZERO influence on the draft process.

For_Never_EverParticipantWhat ? Your taking what me and OhCanada are talking about out of context.

GBeeParticipantI wasn’t even responding to you. Dude literally said that they have a "history of tampering with players’ stocks," when in reality no opinion of DX’s has any bearing on players’ stocks.
I see this every year. People talk about player stock movement in response to how DX or .net have them on their boards or in response to their write-ups on said players, as if where they have them is reality and that their opinion actually matters in the end. These guys aren’t experts. They’re content creators who have an interest in draft prospects and have a means of expressing their opinions and compiling information, but their opinions carry zero weight to the people who actually make personnel decisions.

OhCanada-ParticipantYour right they really don’t. They tried to say Simmons was a bad teammate he still went 1st. Questioned Makers age he still went 10th. Rozier also still went mid 1st. That doesn’t mean they didn’t try to influence their stock for better or worse. They are a social media outlet and from what us fans know these are primary sources of feedback/gossip.
Either way this discussion was supposed to be about Markinnen and how I thing he has a real shot of being an impact player at the next level.

For_Never_EverParticipantI’m going to get backlash likely because some users wanna rep Net like it’s a gang, and eff everything DX. Which seems to be the case a lot. I’d say likely 90# percent of users here wouldn’t agree with Hield being compared to Harden or high as he was projected. Cody Zeller being projected to go first for a long time, and I’d say again likely 90# percent of users didn’t agree.

OhCanada-ParticipantTo be fair you are right about NBA draft.net though. The comparisons aren’t for us knowledgeable fans. They seem to be more for casual fans but DX seems to be on a power trip lately.

OhCanada-ParticipantThere is an article on courierjournal.com that shows a bit of it. Spam won’t let me post the link but its called "Louisville Harrell and Rozier projected 1st round picks" by Jeff Greer.
Basically the article states that both Aran Smith and Chad Ford had Rozier ranked 11th yet Givony had him ranked 52nd.
"The early October mock draft on NBADraft.net projects Rozier as the 11th pick in next year’s draft. Ford rates him 11th on his 2015 Big Board"
"Rozier is considered the 51st-best prospect in Givony’s newest mock 2015 draft and Givony projects the guard as a first-round pick in the 2016 draft instead"
If I remember correctly he also tweeted about getting into an argument with Rozier during an interview which I found classless.

For_Never_EverParticipantI’ll look into it. I didn’t know about that. I just think sometimes this site favors, and gives curtain prospects undeservered hype like casually tossing out Wade comparisons to players.

circumlocution75Participanta Gang…" that was Hysterical
I’m fine w/ Net’s Mocks
But I agree w/ OhCanada I heard an interview w/ DX leading "Analytics" guy on local ready & he was a typical D-Bag Suburban white boy who has Never even touched a basketball let alone played the game
He Insisted that Brandon Ingram WILL be the next Kevin Durant b/c HE watched Lots of video & KD struggled in traffic in college too…" & he insisted to the host who was a 45 y/o ex Div 1 college ball player that he didn’t know what he was talking about & that he can be sure that Simmons is just an "OK" prospect
don’t get me wrong I Luv Ingram but he shot 58% at the Rim & he looked Nothing like KD in college — KD was a Motha Ucking Killa day one
I like analytics but I just have fatigue w/ these Suburban Beta Male Video Gamers who now populate all the SB-Nation sites – which are Unpaid or Stipend Blogs & are now bleeding into more well known sites b/c the Real talent at those sites Left for better jobs. Have ANY of these D-Bags found the next Michael Jordan as an Undrafted Free Agent using Analytics???
Nope they tell us Brilliant stuff like Lebron has a high Win Share — GTFOH really??? Ok I’m done Venting, hopefully u guys won’t beat me up too bad, I don’t hate analytics, just arrogant nerds from the Burbs who now think they know more than Pro scouts (wow maybe I’m not done venting, sorry)

kobyzParticipantI asked about him before, he is consider by every scout for a sure thing lottery pick this year or next, I’m also very curios to see what he does as a freshman, from highlights he reminds me a lot young LMA..
