I’d say one of the strengths of this draft is the wealth of quality shooting guards available near the end of the first round. Of course not all of these players will end up as first rounders, but you’ll find all of these players slotted there in one mock or another. Ordering these shooting guards is one of the problems I’m having the most trouble with for my draft, at the moment…so without further ado, how would you rank these 9 shooting guards?

    Allen Crabbe
    Archie Goodwin
    Erick Green
    Glen Rice Jr
    Jamaal Franklin
    Reggie Bullock
    Ricardo Ledo
    Sergey Karasev
    Tim Hardaway Jr

To me it’s really hard to rank these guys because they’re all about equal in draft status to me and what will decide who gets picked is team need. Like a team who wants to be safe and needs a solid wing who will defend and hit jumpers they might pick Reggie Bullock. If the team wants to take a bigger risk and go for a high risk high reward player they might take Archie Goodwin or Ricky Ledo. For a pure shooter they might go with Allen Crabbe or Sergey Karasev. It really just depends on team needs on who they’d pick between these players.

I agree with J_01, it is really based on need. To me a guy like Bullock would be a great addition to my Pacers as he can shoot the 3 ball very well and it is something Indiana truly lacks. He also plays defense, which fits into the culture.

A team like Chicago would be more after a scorer like Crabbe, Hardaway Jr.

    1. Crabbe
    2. Hardaway Jr
    3. Karasev
    4. Franklin
    5. Green
    6. Goodwin (his success will vary the most depending on which team he lands with)
    7. Bullock
    8. Ledo
    9. Rice Jr

This was really hard for me. I changed the list about 4 times before posting.

True, but I’m asking this more as a big board type question…like team needs aside, based on their own merits, which order should these players go in?

Vander Blue should be on this list :). Well maybe not, he might go in as a PG.

Tim Hardaway Jr (proven winner um, with good offensive game and decent upside)
Reggie Bullock (solid player from a great program, has a decent skill set and think he could develop)
Jamaal Franklin (good rebounder and good scorer)
    Allen Crabbe (solid all around)
Archie Goodwin (ughhhh, he’s trash. He’s a gunner who has no shot. But he’s athletic and a coach will draft him off “upside”)
    Glen Rice Jr (D-league experience)
Ricardo Ledo (Hasn’t proved nothing against college competition. People on here say he’s a top 10 pick lmao ya’ll don’t ball)
Sergey Jarasev (I don’t pay attention to overseas players period)
