The Scare Crow RisesParticipantJahlil Okafor to Phoenix for the 4th and 13th picks in the Draft…
76ers trade Oak for Kris Dunn with the 4th pick(who they love) and a SG like Richardson or Dejounte Murray with the 13th pick…
76ers should avoid trading Okafor to Boston IMO, the Celtics arent taking Dunn 3rd so we can make a trade with Phoenix for Dunn and the 13th pick (Malachi or Dejounte)
76ers lineup
PG Ish Smith + Kris Dunn
SG FA like Evan Fournier + the 13th pick(Richardson or Murray)
SF Ben Simmons + Covington
PF Dario Saric + Grant/Holmes
C Nerlens Noel + Joel Embiid
Stauskas + our 2 late 1st round picks fill out the 15 man roster
Suns would add Okafor and can still trade Knight or Bledsoe for another lottery pick and PF prospect like Marquise Chriss

theEDGEParticipantA 3-team would benefit all 3 teams.
Trade stays almost the same, but Okafor goes to Celtics for Bender to Suns.
Maybe add an extra pick from Celtics to Suns.

festar35ParticipantI still think Okafor to the Celtics makes a lot of sense.
Philly could grab Dunn there with the 3rd, it may be a bit high, but who cares he fits what they need. They may get another young talent back like RJ Hunter (could use the outside shooting) and another late 1st rounder they will likely draft and stash or move for vet leadership.
Simmons has the most talent, but I still think Ingram is the better fit due to his shooting.
C.Embiid PF.Noel SF.Simmons/Ingram SG.Hunter (Let him start, see what he can do) PG.Dunn that is a lot of talent for them moving forward, not too mention they have Saric, Covington, Smith and Staukas as well.

holefillers1ParticipantCrow, I agree. This is the least offensive trade the Sixers can make get Okafor out of the conference and not to the Lakers. I don’t want to be the reason they have a better record and thus give us shittyr pick.

220ParticipantThe Scare Crow Rises, have you warmed up to the idea of the 76ers trading Jahlil Okafor or does this just seem like a likely deal? I see the appeal in the Sixers adding Kris Dunn, but I wonder if the 76ers draft Ben Simmons if they’d try to trade to draft Jamal Murray rather than Dunn. The reason being I imagine Simmons will handle the ball a lot so having a guy who is proven to be comfortable with and without the ball could be a valuable player to pair with Simmons. Even more so since Murray is already a good shooter and Dunn has some work to do in that department.

negguaryParticipantMurray over dunn in this scenario, you can not draft to ball dominate players….PERIOD! Mally compliments ben wayyyyyy to much, IMAGINE a mally and Ben pick and roll!!! Sidenote the Celtics are better trade partner because you get a higher pick plus they will offer you more.

Hype MachineWhat about Okafor and Saric for pick 3 (Kris Dunn) and a pick swap for a future Nets 1st round pick.
I like Saric…but not in that 76ers lineup. And you just know that Nets pick is going to be top 5. Possibly #1 since I dont see many tanking teams in coming seasons.
Some people dont like trading within Divisions…but if you win the trade, its a double score.

220ParticipantI think after waiting two years the 76ers will get a look at Dario Saric in a 76ers uniform before they consider trading him. Even Hinkie would not have done that and I believe Bryan Colangelo would be less willing to trade a player believed to be talented in Saric for a draft pick especially if he comes over this summer.

Hype MachineGotta risk it for a biscuit…
Plus theres other Okafor-like players on the block like Boogie, Brook Lopez and teams needing a Center can hit up free agents Dwight Howard or Hassan Whiteside, Pau Gasol and Al Horford. Plus more…
I think demand for Okafor is low, so you take a risk and throw some crazy stuff out into the universe like my trade and see what comes back.

burgessfourParticipantThat deal needs to be more like for picks 3 & 16……..plus Smart, plus 2017 pick swap, plus Brooklyn’s 2018 pick.

burgessfourParticipantIf the Sixers somehow end up with pick 3 or 4 they should take Murray. We don’t know what kind of PG we’ll need until we see Simmons for a year. Plus, we really need a shooter. And we’re also not trading Saric until we see him play in the NBA, and definitely not to the Celtics with Okafor for Dunn and a pick swap.

burgessfourParticipantSince it seems to be obvious one of Okafor/Noel has to go and we presumably can get more for Okafor, the trade to Phoenix for 4 & 13 is good value. I prefer top take Murray rather than Dunn, we can get our long-term PG in the 2017 draft with either our pick or the Lakers pick.

CDPHParticipant4 and 13 works for me. I would love to get the Net’s 17 pick swap option, but that feels unlikely. I can live with adding two of Dunn/Murray and Korkmaz/Davis/Beasley/Valentine/Etc.. for Jahlil.
Plus he’s being sent out of the conference.

DanielcmccartyParticipantI been saying for a while now, the sixers ain’t trading okafor. Hinkie isn’t running the team anymore. The sixers only have a select amount of NBA players on that roster. Colangelo is trying to get rid of one of the sure things on his team.

MatosParticipantDunn would play similar to how MCW did for the sixers. Murray would be the wise pick. But overall, I dont think Okafor gets traded until their sure Embiid can go. They need to see Embiid in some regular season games.

SlickBouncePassParticipant4 and 13 for Oak, is better than 3 for Oak, obviously. I’d throw in Covington if they wanted him.
I still think the best trade would be Noel for 13 + Knight, that way we get the scoring PG in the likelihood that we draft Simmons, we need some shooting.
If I had 1, 4, and 13….now this is me…..I’d take Ingram and Murray to play with Embiid. At 13 I might take Skal Labissiere.
Was reading the article about how 27 is the age for players to break through and win championships. We are obviously 4 years away from Embiid approaching that age.
So I could let the most skilled 18 year olds in the draft get 4 years of experience. By age 22 they’d compliment Embiid.
I don’t like the idea of having to create a team to fit around Simmons, I don’t think he’s Lebron. If it was Lebron hell yes, but for Simmons no. If Simmons is my stretch 4, Embiid is my 5 of the future, who am I taking with 4 and 13?
I know they like Dunn because their focus is on tenacious defense, but I’ve already said that guy is De’Aaron Fox. He plays D, and he leads, makes smart decisions, and he is very quick. No need to waste a pick for PG in this year’s draft, but being that the Sixers are focusing on moving forward, they might want to take a junior PG due to his experience.
I still like Fox for next year. At 4 I’d take Murray because of his on ball and off ball game. At 13, I’d probably take Kormaz. I don’t like Malachi Richardson. If you coudln’t do it in games, and you had a breakout combine, that means nothing to me. The IQ and mental fortitude must be there.
Guys like Murray and Ingram played better in the tournament when the pressure was up. Those guys are tough competitors. I want Ingram and Murray to play besides Embiid.
Noel for 13 + Knight. Draft Fox next year. Pick up Murray this year.
Embiid, Saric, Ingram, Murray, Knight. Let’s roll.

1. Suns would definitely not give up Knight + 13 for Noel. HUGE REACH
2. None of those players in the lineup (besides Knight – who i’ve said the Suns wont give up) have played an NBA game. While I think Hinkie would love that notion, hes not in philly anymore. Dont think Colangelo will let that fly.
3. I presume you meant to imply that Okafor was being traded for the number 3 or 4 pick. No way Sixers trade Noel and Okafor without seeing Saric and Embiid play.0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/01/2016 - 9:32am #1068710
