Winning_TimeParticipantIf anyone on this entire site put Larry Nance Jr. in the first round, give the entire mock draft championship to them…

cg085hParticipantwhy would you pick him that was a horrible pick im so upset with that pick.
Buss might as well hand the keys to the car to his sister horrible. He better hope Aldridge, Jordan, or Love sign with the team now.

Reptilian MonkParticipantWouldnt have a big problem if they drafted him at 34 but 27 is a big reach. They could of had Looney, Harell, Rj Hunter but they took Nance Jr. who would of still been there at 34 if they really liked him.

MopgrassParticipantYou made a post of what I was going to say, almost verbatim. I also really didn’t think they’d grab a PF when they’re more in need of a SF and a C. I my mock, I had him at 47. I added the comment, “May be very slept on.” I don’t think it’s a crazy pick, but I wouldn’t have done it.
Nance is really fundamentally sound, smart, and does most everything decently well. He’s got good moves in the post and he’s obviously very athletic. His shot is decent: 80% FT and 33% from 3. He’s tenacious and that makes me think it’s a Byron Scott pick.

Winning_TimeParticipantThey should have gotten a big like Harrell or Christmas since Hill is probs out. Nance is a big but doesn’t offer much.

TRC1991ParticipantBiggest reach of the draft. Not a good pick…Didn’t even have Nance getting drafted

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantIt’s only a shocker because we’re not privy to what NBA GMs and talent evaluators actually think. There was an article yesterday in USA Today where Fox’s Sam Amico said he had heard rumours of Nance going anywhere from the early to the late 20s. Apparently his personality and mental makeup were graded very highly, especially by San Antonio. I’m sure SA liking a player automatically makes other teams stand up and take notice as well.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantI liked him so much I had My Jazz picking him at the end of the 2nd round. And I thought that was a reach.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI would’ve much rather seen them go with looney, who I think is a similar player with more upside.

IlladelphParticipantWell, I would tell Larry Nance jr, and D’Angelo to just tolerate Kobe for one more year. I’d apologize profusely for having him hanging around and generally being an annoying ass. Kind of like the old guy who graduated 10 years ago, still going to high school parties and thinking everyone else thinks he’s cool.
