Lance Stephenson

Will he take Granger's injury and run with it?

Gerald Green had the

Gerald Green had the opportunity to do so, but hasn't been consistent to take the starting job. I think Lance will hold on to the starting SG spot. Plus deep down inside, Larry Bird is really rooting for Lance, the only GM who gave him a shot.

Lance is playing well.

Lance is playing well. George has been the best player on the team as a 3, will Granger have a spot when he is healthy?

The Pacers have struggled

The Pacers have struggled signficantly without Danny Granger to start this season. When he returns, he starts. He is the best player on the team.

Paul George has done some good things this season, but the best players so far have been George Hill and David West.

Always felt like Lance had the talent

Always felt like Lance had the talent but missing an ingredient in the mental aspect of his game, still prone to make brain lapses on the floor, if he could mature and keep his nose clean he'd be a great asset for the Pacers.

As for Granger, his days of averaging 25ppg are probably over since he has a stronger supporting cast around him but he'll pose a tough match-up for small forwards around the league on both ends of the floor, when Granger comes back, he be the go-to guy but that's not to say that Stephenson's impact in Danny's absence is going to be ignored, Lance could be part of the future Pacers or become a welcomed addition to another's team nucleus. It's up to Lance, he just needs to play basketball and work hard.

It will be interesting to see

It will be interesting to see what direction the Pacers go in the next couple years. West's contract is up at the end of the year. Stephenson has a team option for next year. Granger has two years. George has two years with a qualifying offer in the third and Green has three years. If west and Granger are both willing to take decent paycuts then I think they should keep them because not only are they the two best players on the team, but they are veteran players with experience and you need that when you are trying to go deep in the playoffs. If you keep Stephenson instead of Granger then you take a step back in my mind. Ya he is younger, way cheaper, and still has the potential to be a good all around player, but you arent looking to rebuild, you are looking to win now.

I think trading Granger right

I think trading Granger right now while he is still fairly young and have decent value would be wise. It appears that Indy doesn't mind getting younger. they are built to make noise now but can have more promise if they trade Granger for some solid pieces possibly at the 2 spot.

Look at George's numbers

Look at George's numbers overall they are better than West and George Hill's. He is also younger. I am a Pacers fan. Have been since I was little. We can win now with George but keeping Granger hinders George's development. George is a forward not a guard. Plus Hill is not a true point so having Lance out there gives you two talented combo guards. Also Hibbert has to get touches at the beginning of the clock not the end.

Based on what I have seen

Based on what I have seen Stephenson is in Indy to stay. He is not at the level of Granger but I can see him overtaking that position by the end of next season. He is a great defender but still needs to work on his offense.
