WizardofOzParticipantRefs serving up some home-cookin’ for OKC. These missed calls are killing the Lakers.

llperezLakers in trouble. I just dint see them winning this aeries

IndianaBasketballParticipantThis might be a long night for the Lakers if the calls keep going like this…
I see one team being allowed to play a little more physical than the other right now.

llperezYeah, durant drives and all he is doing is looking for contact and just lunges at hynums chest who is backpedaling and it’s a foul on Bynum? Didn’t like that call or the one where Kobe didn’t even touch the ball and harden hit it out of hounds and okc got it.

IndianaBasketballParticipantWhy is Kobe defending Fisher and Blake defending Harden? That doesn’t make a lot of sense to me…

IndianaBasketballParticipantWow… You rarely ever see Ron Artest get backdoored like that.

WizardofOzParticipantBynum needs to do a much better job hedging screens. PNR is OKC’s bread and butter.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/14/2012 - 4:36pm #670072
SubZeroParticipantBlake is a very feisty defender, and I’m sure they don’t want Kobe tiring himself out guarding Harden because they know this will most likely go down to the wire. Blake won’t be taking the last shot

WizardofOzParticipantIt boggles my mind how Chuck and Kenny picked LA to win the series so confidently. OKC just has too much athleticism.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThis stage looks waaaaaaay too big for Sessions…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/14/2012 - 4:44pm #670073
llperezIt’s just screen for durant/Westbrook/harden and even if the lakers bigs step up to help hard, the thunder guys can either blow by them or just drain the mid range jumper which so far they are doing at will.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/14/2012 - 4:47pm #670075
IndianaBasketballParticipantThat’d make sense if Kobe wasn’t defending Westbrook every possession when Westbrook is in the game.

NiceWithTheRockParticipant"you rarely ever see Artest get backdoored like that"
oh really now?

FastAndFuriousParticipantI expect to see the Thunder in the Finals they are just toooo damn athletic and talented to do anything less.

IndianaBasketballParticipantWatching the Lakers would make you think defending the high pick and roll is literally impossible.

llperezthis is the first series the lakers have played since 2007 that i truly believe we are not the better team. I felt throught the 2008, 09, 10, and 11 playoffs that the lakers were the best team and it was just a matter of bringing it. I dont feel that way at all about this series. I just hope we make it competitive.

Seamo15ParticipantHow much does each team’s previous series play into tonights game. Thunder swept Mavs so they are a bit more rested, while Lakers had to take it 7 with the Nuggets. Could argue Lakers are still reeling from that, but i think the Thunder will be to good this whole series regardless.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI still think this series will go 6 games. The Thunder will win it.

WolfRobParticipant4-1 series. LA Deserves this whoopin’.
I still can’t get over Artest’s comments, and Pau doesn’t have any fire.. or toughness.

aamir543ParticipantI don’t even need to post any analysis, it’s obvious that the Thunder are making their shots and the Lakers aren’t efven trying, very dissapointed.
And what just happened with Ebanks, ridiculous, even more ridiculous when you consider that he’s a SCRUB! Unacceptable either way, but this is ridiculous and unclassy, and does anyone know what’s wrong with Artest

SoilworkerParticipantOh man had forgotten the existence of Cole Aldrich …

omphalosParticipantIt’s still just one game. Don’t be so quick to count out the Lakers, they were playing a rested Thunder team, but Russ isn’t going to play with so much control every game, and sooner or later Kobe is going to find his form from this season again.

jerb2011ParticipantI am not going to disagree with that statement about Westbrook’s control, but he played just as well against the Mavericks in the first round. This is where Derek Fisher has been helping RW with, his decision-making when they are in the film room and in practice

omphalosParticipantI disagree, the close games early in the series I saw Russ display horrible shot selection, taking seemingly endless pull-up jumpers from the FT line without a rebounder in sight. He was just getting away with it because he had a decent rhythm. Russ’ problem has always been knowing when to shoot and when to pass. He got better as the series wore on, but I still worry what will happen when he tries to shoot himself out of a shooting slump at a critical time.

sheltwon3ParticipantLakers can change all this by taking the next game. So far OKC defended their home once. The score does not matter because if that was true Lebron would have a ring.
