Great win for the Heat...
They hit the offensive glass and their bench finally showed up. Chalmers was good in the first. Miller was aggressive. Bibby came through.
I feel like the Lakers didn't play their best though. They'll look at the game film and see that they gave up too many offensive rebounds and didn't execute as well as they have during the winning streak. They lost the 50-50 ball battle today.
The Heat needed this one more then LA. I'm guessing that's why the 50-50 ball was Miami's tonight. If I was the Lakers I wouldn't get to upset about this loss at all.
The Heat are a better team when they do two things:
Get Bosh the ball in his spots. He's a tough matchup at the four period.
And... Let Wade be the finisher. LeBron is the starter. Wade is the finisher.
The Lakers let this game slip away. When they were on a 9-0 run in the 3rd, they had multiple chances to extend the lead, but they got sloppy with the ball. If they didn't make so many mistakes in that stretch, they could've pulled away.
Heat won this game outright with a great teamwork and defensive effort down the stretch. Nice to see them close one out.
Give credit to Miam's defense too. Usually they have lapses. I don't understand though, they use this formula they did for this game just like they did before. And Indy is right, Wade should be the finisher, and Lebron the opener.
Bibby hit a couple of 3's MMiller had some boards/ Big Z played decent for a 70 year old grandpa/ Juwan Howard had a Great Foul in the 3rd Quarter. You need your role players to come in & help out in big games.
