llperezjust making this thread for general discusiion about the game. For the wolves im looking forward to seeing beasley and wes johnson and seeing who might be the better fit at sf for them. Also want to see if darko is looking like valde divac yet like kahn thinks. FOr the lakers, im curious how barnes and blake look in the offense and shooting the ball. They are gonna be needed to add energy for the season off the bench so ill have my eye on them.

stanford hoopsI’m pretty much looking for the same things. Very interested in beasley and Johnson because word out of camp is he’s the best player on the team by far and that Johnson is easily second as far as scorers go. There are whispers that they may try Johnson at the sg if he shows he can defend it
Courious in caracter and ebanks because Mitch kupchik said the team is gonna see what they can do in preason which will determine how much they are used this season

Raef LaFrentzParticipantDarko has been looking very impressive at training camp and at scrimmages. The guy is over seven feet, 280lbs and looking chiseled, so he is a load. But he also runs the floor very well. Another thing that has impressed me is that he has a nice stroke out to 20 feet which he can hit at a very good clip. Watching him for the past few weeks, I can definitely see why he had so much hype and was taken so high in ’03, the dude has game.

llperezdarko is not as bad as many think. Solid contributing big man. If he had gone outside the top 5 people wouldnt be as hard on him. I thought d’antonni should have found more minutes for him with the knicks since they needed size.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m curious to see LAL’s new addittions. Blake, Barnes, Ebanks and Caracter. I’ve read great things about Blake and Ebanks.
Of course, I’d like to see Beasley and Johnson with the Wolves. I’d also like to see Webster. I think he’ll be good for them once he gets adjusted. I’ve read a lot about how big, tough and intimidating Pekovic is, so I want to see him too.

stanford hoopsI’m a wolves fan now. Still lakers first but I like what Kahn has done with young talent and cap space. Imagin if there ends up being a hard cap or a very low cap. In two years this team can be pretty good potentially. Of course they will add even more in the draft

llperezyeah i forgot nbatv always does this. They wont show local games so no lakers or clippers games in socal are shown. Problem is that none of the local stations are showing it either. I found a site that is streaming it but it sucks.

stanford hoopsOur bench won’t hurt us this year. Theo is a big pick up because he gets the loose balls on rebounds and he’s a bug body. Blake is a hard worker in D. The twolves can SHOOT
Shannon browns confidence has gone up another level

llperezim glad nobody tried to throw quality money at brown this summer and the lakers got to keep him for cheap. If his jumper can stay looking good that would be big.

IndianaBasketballParticipantBrown looks like he’s ready, which is good because I think Kobe will have a slow start this season.

llperezwolves look good. Both teams are getting tons of open looks. Darko/love/beasley front court looks like they might come together this season. Didnt see johnson play but they said he looked good. Defense is still an overall concern. Odom balling for the lakers.

WizardofOzParticipantThat move Odom made on Beasley was sick, but Fisher ruined it. Why did he hold on to the ball so long?
