What would it take to get the #2 pick?

They are shopping #27 not #2.

But to answer your question, mitch kupchak has said he would only trade the pick for an offer he couldn’t refuse(ie: young allstar)

    #27

your not going to get much for that pick in this weak draft.  best bet is to package it with somebody, but the Lakers really don’t have many assets right now.

I’m sure they’d love to jump up the board from 27, but they’re not trading Clarkson, Randle, or Kobe, so they have no one of value to offer. Even trading the pick itself for a current player won’t yield much. I’m sure they’d like to package the 27th and 34th pick to jump up, but who wants 2 guys who might never be productive? They’re a bit out of luck unless they take on some salary (and a lot of teams are dumping salary). The issue is that the Lakers may think of themselves as major players in free agency and don’t want to take on money.
