MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantI’m just in absolute shock as to how the Lakers keep on piling up their losses as they’re getting hammered by the Grizzlies, to be honest I can’t even watch them anymore. You know something’s wrong when you have 4 perennial all-stars and future HOF’s, a good scorer in Antawn Jamison and you have MWP as your third leading scorer. Only adding more insult to their season is Howard aggravating his shoulder injury which he’s probably gonna miss at least 5 games again.

joe2324Participantmike brown looks like a genius now. I cannot imagine them being this bad with Mike Brown. They werent going to win any championships with Mike Brown, but at least you could watch them play. This is awful. I have no idea what this team needs right now. You have all the talent and you just cant get it together.

KHAM83ParticipantAren’t the picks they sent to Phx lottery protected for a few years?

aamir543ParticipantFull-blown disaster, I’m disgusted at what this has become, they need to trade Howard for three solid role players, and go from there, I’m lost for words at how terrible this team is we’ve never seen anything like this before.

BenchWarmerParticipantThey need to trade Dwight Howard, who is, at 26 and coming off back surgery, still the best center in the league? Averaging 17, 12 and 2.5 …You think this is how to solve their problems? By getting a few role players?

aamir543ParticipantYes, absolutely. Look, Gasol is lightyears ahead of Howard as far as a solid back-to-the-basket post game goes, not even close, if you can surround Gasol with shooters who Nash can feel and will be drawn in by Gasol or Kobe, than you have a lethal offense.
This is all under the assumption that Mike D’Antoni will continue his stubborn ways and continue to run up and down instead of slowing down and playing to their strengths.
Imagine if they got guys like Wilson Chanlder, Javale, and Iggy from the Nuggets, I know the trade won’t happen, but say those three guys are now in the Lakers instead of Dwight and Metta, than you can go super small with Nash, Kobe, Iggy, Chandler, and Gasol and be able to spread the floor.
The ideal situation would be to play hella slow, be a halfcourt team, and walk it up the floor every time, and pound it down low, this run’n gun system is not working.

BigChamp12ParticipantYea Gasol is lightyears ahead of Dwight in Post moves. However its not all about offense. But Pau is lightyears behind Dwight in Defense, intensity, effort, Quickness, and everything else outside of Shooting and passing. Look at the teams’ problem, and decide which is the bigger necessity. Think about your future, Kobe, Nash, an Pau are heading out. Howard is nowhere near healthy but still can do 17 and 12. Its a tough decision, but its clear who’s more valuable to your team’s success.

HotSnotParticipantTo this point in the season, there has never been a better example in NBA history of why chemistry is so important in a “team” game.

rileymcshea3ParticipantI feel bad for Nash, he just another veteran trying to go get a ring after having a great career, and appearantly teaming up with 3 other allstars isn’t good enough. As for watching tha Lakers suck is great, but am I the only one overshadowing how great Kobe is playing at this age and thinking most of this is his fault? I’ve watched the Lakers and I can’t remember seeing Kobe score off a cut to the basket or a spot up wide open jumper. He litteraly only scores when he iso’s and clears everybody out.Defense is all about effort and honestly if I played with Kobe just sitting there on the offense waiting for him to take a hard shot knowing your not gonna get the ball ,I wouldn’t try on defense ,call me crazy but I don’t blame the Lakers for not making effort to rotate over or communicate with others ,I blame Kobe.

Chilbert arenasParticipantReplace Kobe with MJ a few years after his peak and I’d like to see where this team would have gone. Guarentee they’re at least in the playoffs for Gods sake
