Anyone watching?  I know it’s just an exhibition, but Blake seems to mesh very well with this Lakers team.

good wakeup call for the lakers, barcelona is taking ti serious and you see both teams getting physical. Like what im seeing from blake he is playing hard dove for a lose ball hit some jumpers. Caracter makes great moves around the rim but has no explosion and gets blocked.

Yeah, Character looked to be forcing offense when he was in. FC Barcelona is a solid team.  Nice and 1 by Ebanks, makes up for that dumb foul on Mikeal.

i’m watching this hoping to see some of the star power everyone says Ricky Rubio has, and frankly i dont see it. I don’t see any superior athleticism, though he has great size and strength (looks like hes seriously put on weight). He has very good ball handling, but keeps his dribble too high on aggressive moves to the basket. This will lead to him getting stripped on drives. he doesnt have good finishing ability. He doesnt have good scoring ability. Where is his superstar talent?

rubio drives around the court fine and doesnt get forced into turnovers and he has great court vision. But he doesnt try and force anything which is kinda bad becasue he ends up fading out of the game instead of taking over. And his jumper is on some rajon rondo level stuff right now.

I’ve now seen enough of Rubio to see that he is going to suck if he ever gets to the NBA. He sucked in the FIBA games and he sucked in the game against the Lakers…

Why’d the wolves pick him again??? What a waste of a draft pick…

he doesnt get forced into turnovers but he gets his ball deflected an awful lot. He’s not explosive and his scoring ability is streaky at very best. Hes a nice player, but I dont see "the best point guard in the world" in his future.

Does anyone think thats he better than Jennings at this point?

Mkadoza until he has confidence in his own offense i dont think he is. He showed in the world championships that he can be unselfish to the point that it can hurt his team at times

FC Barcelona plays beautiful basketball they are a joy to watch.

They actually got the size advantage against the Lakers.

This is a good team and I’m willing to bet that Regal could beat a lot of teams in the NBA who are playing seriously.

Lakers fans will find every excuse in the book for this loss. Hahaha.

But none of them will matter.

Sure, it was preseason, but the Lakers played their starters an awful lot. Especially Kobe with his injured knee.

    Yeah.

If a player has one bad preseason game, we should just give up on him.

Just an exhibition game however, it looked like both teams wanted this win. The Lakers were clearly out hustled.  FC Barcelona went after every loose ball and missed shot. Pete Mitchell played a great game and looked like he belongs in the NBA. ( again, its only an exhibition). As for Rubio, he has been televised many times during this past year. He clearly had a bad game and is much better than his showing today. I think he will be a very good NBA point guard. ( just not for the Wolves, … perhaps the Knicks will trade for his rights ).

Ricky Rubio is a stud, you have to remember this kid is 20 years old. Only 20. He has potential out of this world, outside of the US he is the best PG, and hell he is even better then half the PG’s in America that are in the NBA. He has gone up against Kidd, Paul, Williams, Billups, and Rose. Every single one of them has said that he is a great player, EVERY SINGLE ONE! He has unremarkable vision that hasn’t been seen since Nash, how can you say he is bad when every NBA expert says he is remarkable as a point. The reason you guys don’t see him go off for a 24 and 15 assist night every time he plays is because he plays in Europe, for a championship team. They have a system where they don’t need a PG going for those numbers, they need him to play D, (winner of many defensive player of the year awards), they need him to be a leader (won the championship in the best league not named the NBA), and they need him to continue to improve (winner of the European rising star award last year). So guys please get your facts straight before you say this guy is a bust or something dumb like that, he is 20. He has been playing professional since he was 15-16 years old, he is an improving player.

i dont want to kill rubio but he was awful today. even derek fisher was stripping him on his way to the basket and fisher cant guard any elite point guards. what happens when rubio has to go against defenders like westbrook or chris paul?

Rubio’s game is better suited for the NBA..His scoring will increase once he gets to the league..I predict he’ll score about 15 to 17 points ..Becuz of his ability to draw fouls..He’s a great ball handler that can get anywhere he wants to on floor, plus he’s a great penetrater…
