Gonzaga, Butler, Creighton, Wichita State all would good landing spots for him.

Isn’t he from Oregon? Maybe somewhere closer to home would help. Oregon or Oregon State could be a good fit as well.

I agree with you, I think both Gonzaga and Oregon are good options for him

He can be like Kelly Olynyk. Except he is already way ahead of where Olynyk was at the end of their sophomore years

I am guessing this doesnt surprise many people, he needs playing time. Wiltjer has the talent to be a late first round pick in 2 years after he gets a chance to play.

I would agree that after four years he could be a late first round pick. I don’t know how much Kentucky ball you watched last year but it was painfully obvious that everybody went directly at Wiltjer because he plays no defense and runs a slower 40 than most people do backwards. He needs to be in a mid major conference where his big offensive outbursts on live TV overshadow his lackluster defense in conference play (where the games won’t be televised).

If he picks Gonzaga, I think they’d have a great front court with him and Przemek Karnowski who I’m expecting to breakout later on in his career at Gonzaga. Wiltjer is also really close friends with Kevin Pangos. But I think Oregon would also be a great choice for him. He would be returning to his home state and Oregon has had some great success landing transfers in recent years such as Mike Moser, Tony Woods, Arsan Kazemi and Carlos Emory. In High School he was considering Texas where I’m sure he’d start right away since they don’t have a really good starting PF who is a true PF and Cameron Ridley is just another Joshua Smith or Renardo Sidney (Who is not dead BTW) who are just too out of shape and slow. He could be the best player for the Longhorns and lead the team unless they land a really highly touted recruit from the 2014 class. I was just very surprised he didn’t leave Kentucky sooner.

Sooner than what? He stayed for two years. He won a title the first year and left as a sophomore.

He can fill the role of guys like Murphy, Parsons, Brewer, and Bonner before him.

I could see him going to Oregon or Gonzaga since hes from that area. I think Duke would be a perfect fit imo. I would love him with my Buckeyes though. Craft, Thompson, Ross, Wiltjer, Williams to start and Kam Williams, Marc Loving, Smith, Scott and Macdonald all coming off the bench. I doubt that happens but its nice to think about.

Obviously the New Jersey institute of technology should be his top choice
