I don’t understand how this dude isn’t projected to be a top 5 to 8 pick right now.  I understand that he’s not an 18 year old who is said to be oozing potential like a Simmons, Labissiere, and Brown.  But this is one of the three best players in college basketball right now, with the others being Valentine and Simmons.  He has the total package: pure point guard skills, scoring skills, good rebounder for a point guard, high IQ, top-notch handle, good defender, elite athleticism, great length, and he is 6’4" and phsyical.  These are the skills and measurables to be an NBA star, and I believe most of us on this forum believe he can be.  It doesn’t appear he has a definitive weakness that teams can expoit on any given night.  All of his skills and intangibles are trasnferable to the league.

So someone educate me on why he isn’t projected to be higher now, I just don’t understand.

He’s had injuries and he’s kind of old… But if I was a GM I would say f*** it. If I have franchise player, I want this guy to be by his side.

His lack of a shot and injury history are scary, but I have no doubt in my mind that someone will take him in the top 10 this year. He’s just too good, and has the physical profile most teams desire in a PG these days. I think he would be a good fit for Chicago if they could trade up to get him, or think that a team like the Jazz or the Bucks would be my bet if he does get drafted in he latter stages of the lottey though. I would love to see a Dunn/Hood/Hayward/Favors/Gobert lineup. So much length and athleticism!

It’s interesting though, not many teams in the lottery need a PG right now.

I think he is a perfect target for Philly.  Yes he can’t shoot, he needs the ball to be in his hands to be effective.  But they need guard play, he is a good passer and creator and should be able to get their thousands of big men easy shots.  I see a little Rondo in his game.

The spacing for Philly would continue to be attrocious.  But they need a lead guard like him.

Lord knows they have enough assets to be in play for him in the 8-12 range.

Dunn is powerful & he can penetrate & dish to their Bigs for easy buckets….He’ll get that ball moving, he has excellent size & players like Okafor & Embiid are just going to be monsters in the paint so Dunn will have open looks & b/c he’s not worried about scoring….. If Phila only gets 1 pick in the top 5 & if it’s not Murray, I really like Dunn for that team….

Don’t get me wrong i like Kris Dunn, but we already had three type of Kris Dunn on the team before by the Name of Jrue Holiday, MCW & Elfrid Payton, it all just depends on how many lotto picks we get.

Yeah you right but he couldn’t get to the free throw line and he stayed shooting long 2 pointers plus he couldn’t stay healthy thats why they traded him.
