After the LeBron yearbook thread was a success, I thought I’d throw in a little Mamba.

    A few questions arise…

Is Matt still Kobe’s "main man"?  Is Maine continuing to represent "alwaz"?

lol I like how he just wrote it like how he would actually say it in real life, not like others who just write stuff up and make it look so meaningful.

Though, in retrospect, he did get himself a loop hole out of having to represent with Maine. Still, while that is an incredibly lame way to spell "always", even in slang terms, I do not know if he can be completely blamed. For one, I have been the victim of a typo in my yearbook quote. Wanting "represent", I wrote at the end of my quote, "This school is extremely key". Well, the geniuses who entered the quote wrote, "This school is extremely KAY". What the F#CK does KAY mean? Why did they have to accentuate it with capital letters? Truly, it was, and still is, awful. Plus, they spelled my name wrong on my diploma. I wish I was kidding……

@BasterdinaBasket: He looks like Corey Brewer if Corey Brewer looked like Kobe Bryant.

They probably charge by the letter, I’ll let the spelling slide.

My one statement gets more points than my (at least I thought) amusing anecdote, with that same statement beneath it. For those who say I write long posts just to get points, I think you have your evidence to the contrary.

@MDYMES: Charge by the letter? Where did you go to HS, Philadelphia Inquirer Secondary?

At my high school graduation when they announced my friend Nik’s name, they called him Nicole. That’s pretty bad too.

Man, people have a strange sense of humor around here sometimes. But, I have to say, being called Nicole at your HS grad is really lame. Even lamer than people getting pissed off for making a genuine observation with no response as to why they disagree with it. Well, what else would I expect? I guess the sign of a good writer is that another person uses the same thing you have written and gets even more response for it. Though, that is pretty much most of what everyone posts and gets point for on this site, so I should not complain.

Just saying every yearbook I’ve had from Middle School on up, you were charged by the letter for those little snippets.  Yearbooks are the ultimate money making scheme lol.  Hence, why I refuse to purchase any of them or contribute to them.

MikeV, if a post of your’s was included in the yearbooks, you could have paid for 3 student’s college tuition, fed the hungry, and possibly kept Eddy Curry full for an hour.

MikeyV whose mad at you?  I love all your posts, value you as a poster (i think you’re one of the best around), and think you seem like a pretty down to earth dude.  Keep on writing man.

I was just kidding dude, lol. I did think what happened to yupyup’s friend sucks, but I found it funny that someone got more points for repeating something I wrote than for what I had written in the first place. Not trying to get sympathy points, as most people probably thought I was. Just making a general observation.

Guess people did not get my "Philadelphia Inquirer Secondary" joke, but it is a newspaper, where one would typically pay for ad space. I tend to think that HS yearbook quotes are free, so I thought I would make that joke, really hoping that only MDYMES, if anyone, got it. Not trying to be offensive, not whining about points. Man, I have been called judgemental (pretty much by one person, with I guess others who are to afraid to come out of the woodworks agreeing with him), but I think I am being seen in a negative light here for the wrong reason. MDYMES, man, I am totally cool with you and thanks for the support as always. You seem very down to earth as well and willing to speak about what you believe in.

Damn, didn’t even see your first post after the last one I had written. You really got charged your own individual quote? I know that yearbooks charge for like articles of congrats from family members and such to make money, but I thought most peoples final HS quotes were usually free. I guess every HS is different, but everyone should be able to say something in their HS yearbook that probably will not be true 5 years and from now. That they will look back on in embarassment from how lame they were that they said things like "DA MN WH AT TH EH EL LW AS IT HI NK IN?" (It spells out something, for those who do not get it)

Lol nah man, I got the Inquirer joke.  I just didn’t know if most peoples’ other school didn’t charge for that.  But yea, all the schools around here try to get as much $$$$ out of everything as possible.  The fundraisers are ruthless.

I hadn’t read the entire thread yet, so I may have caught your tone better if I had.  But I’m sitting here reading this while I listen to an audio of Medtations on First Philosophy by Rene Descartes which has drained my sense of humor for the time being.

But, if you want to try, had you seen that "Comparing Rappers To Ballers" or whatever it was called in the "NBA" section. Man, I gave you a shout out for your list you had made that this guy definitely had either: A) Not seen or B) Not heard. Either way, that thread became pure comedy. I think you would approve.
