So with the knicks having 30 million in space to spend next year, and Okafor very likely being drafted, here is how the 2015-2016 starting lineup may look like next year:

PG- Dragic  (signed for 10 mil per year)

SG- Wes Mathews (signed for 8 mil per year)

    SF-Melo

PF- Millsap (signed for 12 mil per year)

    C- Okafor(#1 pick)

Bench- Hardaway, Larkin, Early, J. Smith, Dakari Johnson(2nd round pick)

    Thoughts?

Way to early to predict…and just because the knicks will have space doesnt guarantee these guys even want to come to NY. Jackson is a RFA so they have do have a chance to make a run at him.

Because of how the market is for players of his skill set (3 point specialist, plays defense) and how salaries are Wes may command more than 8 mil per.

Im pretty sure Avery Bradley got a 4 year 32 million dollar contract. That comes to 8 million a year and if Bradley got that im sure Matthews will get at least 12 million a year.

Why would Paul Millsap leave the current best team in the East for the worst? I can’t see Wes Matthews leaving Portland for New York either. Blazers have a great thing going right now. Dragic is a maybe just because Phoenix has 3 quality PGs on their roster now, but I still don’t see that happening either. All of these guys are winners and are in the primes of their careers. They aren’t going to want to be part of a rebuilding project. Hate to break it to you, but it’s looking more and more like New York won’t be a serious contender for another 3-4 years minimum.

That being said, they need to be realistic and go after Draymond Green this offseason and pressure Golden State into offering him a big-time contract. He’s one of the most versatile players in the league and is the type of guy that wouldn’t be afraid of the bright lights of New York and the type of player they need.

CLEARLY Millsap isnt leaving Atlanta for NY….he’s getting 11 Mil there, plus they are in first place…..and he clearly isnt about playing in the big time markets.

LA Tech, Utah, Atlanta (where he is the first option on the top team in the East)…..who would want to leave that??

Even with his UFA pending, you better believe Atlanta WILL be resigning him back…

It’s definitely not going to be Dragic, Matthews, and Millsap, but I am still curious to see how the Knicks spend their extra cash. If they get the No. 1 pick, the Mudiay-or-Okafor decision will be a good story to follow too.
