Lebron is all about the money and being the MAN for the Knicks is way more profitable for his brand than being a part of a 3-Star team.

Who do you see running the show next year? Toney Douglas played well and all, but I see him as firepower off the bench, and it looks like Ridnour and Felton are the two choices. I think multiple members of this board have been speculating that Felton is a lock for the Knicks, but I know Amare said he likes Ridnour. I always saw flashes of Steve Nash in Rids game, but being a U of O alum, I may be biased. Felton would more than likely be a step-up as far as most things are conerned, but I think Ridnour is the better shooter (he is like 90% from the line, and in a fast paced offense in Seattle, was a leading force in their short lived success). He is also has the ball on a string and is a fantastic passer, and his court sense surpasses that of Raymond. It would truly depend, but if LeBron were there than it could possibly make up for Rids poor defense, plus in the run and run, it usually just gets patched up over time with how well you run a team. But, that is a big if, and even if LeBron does come to the Knicks, defense will be a concern with the rest of the team. But, they would sure have offensive weapons. Would Amare play 5? I guess he could, he has, but it is more than likely not ideal. But a front court of he, LeBron and Danilo, maybe even Chandler playing 2, it would be nice. My big question, and I think a forgotten footnote of Free Agency is what happens to Tracy McGrady? It seems like he is definitely peacing out of New York, but I think teams should take a chance on him if the cost is reasonable, which it more than likely should be. As much as it kills us to see players be shells of their former selves rather than calling it quits (see O’Neal, Shaquille), I think something that applies is that these players are still more than likely superior to most who play their position. Grant Hill wins match-ups and plays great defense, and Tracy is a match-up nightmare.

Ridnour if they can’t get LeBron because they need a good passer to work with STAT. Felton doesn’t impress me to be honest. Knicks will still suffer from the lack of a real C, they need a defensive anchor, and if STAT has to play the 5 then they’ll be in trouble.

As a Bobcat fan, Felton is not the point guard you’re looking for. Luke needs to join the dark side.

Ahem, anyway, I think the Knicks are looking pretty good right now in regards to the Lebron sweepstakes. I honestly thought they had very little chance as of about three days ago, but how tempting would it be to join Amare to battle Wade and Bosh in Miami? Also, the Knicks brand in NY is the easiest path to becoming a billionaire, which Lebron has always wanted…and who can blame him?

Knicks will get a PG through trade wheather its a D.lee for Monta Ellis or it’s a 3way trade of tashuan prince & Knicks 1st to SA,Wilson chandler & Eddy Curry to DET & Tony Parker to NY. They will get a legit starter & 2nd or 3rd scoring option for him. But Im still not sure that he would be able to live with himself if he leaves his home & becomes Public Enemy #1. So right now I put it at a 50%Cavs,30%NYK,20%Nets

I thought about the guilt of leaving Cleveland, but he hasn’t felt guilty stringing them on for the last couple of months.
