Im not gonna go to deep into it but what is with Knicksfans? Even I thought Lebron was going to New York after reading all the crap they posted. Now that Paul is on the block they automatically think he is going to NY.
Im calling out all Knicksfans. How is this Chris Paul to NY rumour any different than all the other ones like CB4 to NY, D-Wade saying “Get me one player and Ill get u a championship”, Joe Johnson and Amare teaming up, which would have been better than what they have now but may have struggled to get an 8th seed, or the grandaddy of them all the 3 year spectacle LBJ to NYC.
Whats the difference?

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantWell ESPN is to blame too they like posting articles about big time names always wanting to be traded or signing to NY and while some of it may be true it isn’t always the case as you can see with Lebron and Joe Johnson and others being rumored to get there, but NY is an appealing market to play in and now that they got Amare they are on the right track on building a consistent playoff team and by adding Paul makes them an even better team so you cannot blame Knicks fans for having high hopes (I am not a Knicks fan btw)

OhCanada-ParticipantDont get me wrong I love watching games where superstars play at MSG. Everytime Kobe, Lebron, Carmelo steps foot in MSG I wanna see wwhats going to happen and the atmosphere is amazing. I would love to see Paul and/or Carmelo play in NY with Amare but I just dont see it happen. NY does not have enough trading assets to keep a strong team for CP3 or Melo to come over and have a deep team. If they trade for a Superstar they gut their lineup and NY with Paul and Amare isnt much better than Nohla with Paul and West. Not to mention Paul basically is trying to get away from okafor and his horrible contract want to go to a team eating Okafors contract (which is NYs only hope).

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantPaul would excel with a great big man like Howard, especially in the pick and roll which would be better then the Nash and Amare pick and roll in my mind and Paul would give Howard such an easier time on the offensive end but I wonder what players Orlando would have to trade to get a player of Paul’s caliber. And to be honest if the rumors are true that Paul would love to get traded to the Knicks then I am sure its a done deal just a matter of what players are going to be traded to NO in exchange for Paul and maybe Okafor and his horrible contract.

stanford hoopsits not hating its being realistic. i dont think anyone is saying theres no chance but some knicks fans always says they have the lead with every free agent. and history has shown that isnt tru( all they got was amare out of bosh, joe johnson,lebron,wade).. its the exact definition of a homer when you think youre team is better or have a better chance then whats reality and or history shows
homer comments
“players will take less money to come to the knicks because they will make it up in endoresments”
“lebron wore a yankees hat and his entourage ate in new york today so we will get lebron”
“we will get joe johnson for less money because he likes our coach and can make up the money here”
“even if we dont get lebron we WILL get two max guys”
if some fans said theres a decent chance then it would be different but some knick fans say it like its a done deal and if you dont agree then youre a hater(thats a homer)

stanford hoopsof course new york will get some one..you see they got sergio, bill walker, darko, duhon, francis(the bad one) in the past so theres no arguement that they wont get someone

bkb77ParticipantThe knicks have almost as good of a shot as portland does, r u saying that guys like Oden,Bayless,Batum is so much better than Randolph,Gallinari,Chandler,& Currys contact, I know knicksfan hype up whos coming way to much but I do think if you look at what the hornes are gonna be offered, the knicks can hang with most teams as far a pieces, cause the knicks have alot of 2-3-4 pieces & that what NO needs, they dont need a good PG in return, cause they have Collison who if Paul is traded will be their starter & floor general, so I dont see them wanting to add on a guy like Jameer or devin harris cause they are not that much better then what they think collison could be. So unless LAL comes in & says we’ll give you Bynum & an all-star in Artest or LO, then I dont see any reason why CP3 would not have a shot at going to NY.

McWinningParticipantIll agree that Portland doesnt have THAT much better in young talent as a few people think, but still a lot more, but they can add in two first rounders, and the three first rounders they drafted and are playing overseas so they have the X-factor there in a deal.
Another thing is they can manouver and take on Poseys, and Okafors deals.
A big part would be having a team take Camby (decent starting center) and then send an expiring to New Orleans. Maybe Rudy two.
But they can manuever and take on those two bad contracts.
While with New York if they take them it kill Melo.
And without Melo, and Losing players in the trade how much better would they be than New Orleans?
