Can I ask Klay Thompson for tutorials in shooting? The guy can't miss... damn!
He has absolute textbook form.
Such a pleasure to watch. Coach Pop gona put together something defensively and he won't score more than 6 points in second half. Hope I'm wrong though I'm pulling for the Warriors, but as a Suns fan I've seen this movie too many times.
I'd swap my stupid brother to have that textbook form man! LoL...
Where you at bothteamsplayedhard?
At the end of klays last season in college, he said he was garbage after I called klay the second best player in the pac12. He responded with if klay is the second best player in the PAC, then that conference is worse then anyone could have ever imagined.
Is he still on here. He was bashing Klay!
He'll be one of those players who have a long career and I'll be very surprised if he retires without one All Star Appearance. He is just such a great pure shooter
I'm guessing tonight was the first time anyone's ever hit 8 threes and grabbed 14 boards in a playoff game. Crazy game for Klay.
You are correct. The list of players that have even hit at least 8 3's in a game is pretty short. Before tonight that list was comprised of Jason Terry, Vince Carter, Rex Chapman, Jason Richardson, Paul Pierce, Dan Majerle, Chauncey Billups, Michael Finley, Allen Iverson, Mookie Blaylock, Gary Payton, Matt Maloney (surprisingly), and Ray Allen accomplished the feat an astounding 4 times.
Of the players that hit at least 8 three pointers in the playoffs not one of them even reached double digits in rebounds in that game. Gary Payton came the closest with 9 rebounds and 8 3's in 1997. Jason Richardson had 8 boards when 8 3's against the Trailblazers 3 years ago. In a game that Michael Jordan had 27 points 16 boards and 6 assists he was outplayed by Mookie Blaylock who put up 26 points shooting 8/9 3's dished out 9 assists to go with his 7 rebounds. Dan Majerle and Vince Carter were the only other players in playoff history to hit at least 8 threes and grab at least 5 rebounds, grabbing 7 and 6 respectively.
I wasn't going to go this in depth and I was pretty sure you were correct to begin with. I was going to say I didn't have time to look it up but who am I kidding...plus the website I used has every stat you can ever think of. If you have never checked it out here it is.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/fg3_game_p.html This link isn't to the main page. It is to NBA single game playoff record for 3 pointers.
Sigh, he had an amazing performance tonight, but that textbook form doesn't always equal success. He's as streaky as they come, he can go 8-9 one game, and then 0-6 the next.
Also, he didn't do anything in the 4th quarter.
He does have great form on his jumper, but he's not as good a shooter as he should be because he's inconsistent.
He is as streaky as they come? He hit a 3 pointer in all but 9 games this year. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen had 10 games this season in which they got significant minutes and didn't hit a 3 either...are they as streaky as they come?
His dad never had a game like that and was a #1 pick in the whole draft
Every time I watch him play I like him more and more.
more than shooting he does lots of small things in the game and he's a surprising interesting defensive player... not always effective but in progress and more complete than lots of people think in that area.
I would pay to watch him and Curry shoot jumpers in practice.
Who's form is prettier? Klay Thompson or Ray Allen's?
