high floorParticipantWow, just saw on Twitter that he was laid off. And Vivek is getting shelled for it. While details could still emerge, this is difficult to understand. Scott is widely regarded as the very best in-game announcer in pro basketball, and I always appreciated how candid he was. Especially with regards to DeMarcus Cousins, and how he held him accountable for his actions to the Fanbase. Most announcers walk on eggshells with regards to their star players and cannot be objective for fear of public backlash. Not Scott.
Hoping other Kings fans can chime in, especially if they know something more than whats just being related to the masses.

SportsNinjaParticipantHe only lost his duties with the Kings community outreach. Given everything that happened with the protestors outside the stadium they may be looking to go with someone with more experience. I believe he just started that position prior to this season. Not that the protests are his fault, but Vivek may just NEED someone more experienced on how to turn that situation around and become a bigger face in the community.
They still want him to retain his PA duties.
