      Chad Ford

Interesting tidbit. I have had Kings looking at Kemba, Kawhi & Jimmer. But sounds like Alec Burks seriously in the mix too at 7.

They don’t need Alec when he is somewhat like Tyreke. Actually a lot like tyreke but more comfortable off the ball.  They wouldn’t do well aside each other as who would play PG?

Kemba showed that he can play off ball very well, Jimmer might hog the ball more but his shooting compliments more, Kawhi Leonard is the best prospect of the 3 but i feel that he’s not a good enough shooter to compliment Tyreke. If i was a kings fan id be happy with any of the 3 though. its a tough call.

I am a Kings fan and prefer this order. Kemba, Kawhi, Jimmer. They would all help but I have a feeling that Kemba’s leadership and popularity will be the key factor that helps this team out the most.

Are the Kings defensively sound enough to take Jimmer at 7? They have no good wing defenders, Cousins isn’t exactly a defensive beast to protect the paint, and Dalembert will be moving on.

Good point last word… but is Kemba, fairly undersized, enough better for it to matter when choosing between the 2?

Kemba has all-star talent. He can really quarterback a team. On NBA TV during the draft preview,
Steve Smith and Greg Anthony said that Kemba Walker will be the best point guard in this draft.

Jimmer would be a good fit too since he can really shoot it and he can score. Kawhi Leonard is nice, and would be
an upgrade at 3 and provide some more toughness.

after thinking about it, i can see it happened… Kings often go unconventional in the draft, they often go with what they feel is the best talent, the best potential, the most star power and not alwayes with needs, i also feel Alec Burks is top 3 potential wise in this draft so to me it make seanse.

and maybe also the Kings see opportunities for extreme lineups with him and the size, versatility advantage he will give to them, maybe they think that while they have Marcus Thornton and Beno Udrih it will be better for them to take Burks over Kemba/Jimmer who allegedly fit better, cause Burks will give them option for variety of combinations to put on the floor.
