Kings

A lot of people are talking about the Clippers being a young team with a lot of upside and don't get me wrong the Kings are a veteran free agent and a lottery pick away from doing much, but they have a nice nucleus of young talent now with Evans, Martin, Casspi, Spencer Hawes and Jason Thompson, and although Udrich didn't make as big of an impact as they thought (based on his salary) I still haven't given up on Ike Diagu, he still has a lot of upside Rashad McCants and Francisco Garcia are good complimentary scorers and honestly Jon Brockman was a good pick in the 2nd round, he is a banger and a similar player to Reggie Evans who provides rebounds and defense off the bench, by no means do I expect the see the Kings in the playoffs next year, but that is a lot of good young talent and i see them rising to playoff contention with the Clippers in the next 2-3 years

the kings need a go to

the kings need a go to scorer with a killer instinct something we've never had to be a promising team in the future but thats hard to find then again
mccants is probably leaving and theyre crowded at small forward

Martin when healthy is nice

Martin when healthy is nice go to player and also you have to believe that Evan will be a go to player as well.

It's gonna take awhile. The good thing is that the young guys should have all the opportunity in the world to devleop. But they are probably the worst team in the west and it's gonna take a couple years to get turned around. I bet they would love to trade Nocioni since he was already saying last season he wanted out. It does'nt benefit the team to have guy around who does'nt want to be there. Thompson, Hawes and Martin are all good, but none of them are gonna make the all-star team. A lot is riding on Tyreke evans to help get it turned around. Fans need to start showing up again too.

Diagu

Yeah they should really get rid of Nocioni, I really think Ike Diagu could improve a lot there and take Nocioni's place, he has shown signs of promise with the Pacers and Warriors, but i've followed him since his freshman year at Arizona State, and the guy can really play, im not sure why he hasn't put it together yet, but i think he'll get minutes next year for the Kings and help them a lot as a 6th or 7th man

I actually think the Kings

I actually think the Kings are a better team than the clippers right now even after the draft.

SAC

Actually have a nice young core
Reke
K-mart
Garcia
Thompson
Hawes

I like this young starting line up, people fail to realize that spencer hawes is a good inside outside threat and can pass as well, they shuld look to resign McCants for instant offense of tha bench, I actually think there better than tha LAC also, but if they can get one or two more pieces to this team they can push for a playoff spot

Garcia is the worst player

Garcia is the worst player ever though. HE can not do a layup and has no finesse inside. Hawes is an above average center and Thompson is an average PF. Nocioni is average at everything except good at being tough. Casspi we don't even know if he will be average. Evans is their only hope because Martin is a good scorer and nothing else.

No way the Kings are better

No way the Kings are better than the Clippers. Look at the lineups. McCants isn't coming back to the Kings, I think they will resign Diogu though. The Kings need better depth at SG & C.

PG- Tyreke/Udih
SG- Martin
SF- Garcia/Casspi/Greene/Nocioni
PF- Thompson/Diogu/Brockman
C- Hawes

PG-Baron Davis/Mike Taylor
SG- Gordon/Collins/Ricky Davis
SF- Thornton
PF- Griffin/Jordan
C- Kaman/Camby/Jordan

The Clippers have a clear edge at PG. Baron Davis has way more experience and is just simply the better player right now when compared to Evans. At SG Martin is a little better than Gordon but the Clippers have better depth. I give a slight edge to the Kings. I say it is pretty even at the SF position. Thornton is the best player out of all them but the Kings have a lot more depth. Eventually Casspi &or Greene will be better than Thornton IMO. You have to give the Clippers a slight edge at PF & C due to better talent & depth. Overall it is pretty close but I think the Clippers will win quite a bit more games than the Kings for the simple fact they have better defense in the post and have a high quality experienced PG. When you look at purely the starting lineups I think the Clippers have a slight edge at every position except SG. The Kings are talented though they just need a couple more pieces. They should've kept McCants. Sacramento really should consider signing somebody like David Lee IMO. Nate Robinson could help some too. It will be interesting to see what both of these teams do this offseason as far as adding free agents. Both teams have been really quiet so far.

Kings still need some work

As a Kings fan, i was unimpressed by the Evans pick. Evans was inconsistant to me on a memphis team that he was clearly the best player on. I see the youth movement but i do not like evans being in the center of it. Personally i think Jennings, Rubio, or Flynn (even curry) were better fits

kings

evans
martin
garcia
thompson
hawes

go to bench - casspi - foward, nocioni-foward.

the kings need a real sized center off the bench that can produce 10-6.

I think Kings have a lot of

I think Kings have a lot of good but not great talent. Evans is a ballhog. Martin, Thompson are very solid as is Hawes, but they need a go to stud to be an above average team imo.

Good Question...I'm glad

Good Question...I'm glad that let him go though. I want him to go to a winning team for once in his career. Somebody is going to sign him cheap and be very glad they did...mark my words.

Bulls could use him

Bulls could use him especially if they deal Captain Kirk. He wouldn't cost too much. I'd take a flyer on him.

I would love for that to

I would love for that to happen. I'm not a big Hinrich fan anyways. Tyrus & Noah are two of my favorites so of course I would love for McCants to join the Bulls. In my honest opinion I think McCants is better than Pargo. I don't wanna see Tyrus go to the Jazz...that would be terrible.

ya

ya no kidding. pretty shot. especially the 3...

back to the kings, i think a big need is a center off the bench..if this guy could be 6'11-7'1 at 260, and if he played banger style and got up to 4-5 fouls a game. a beast style defensive center that can make some free throws. this would give thompson and hawes some relief so they don't have to play exhausting excessive minutes.

the next thing looks to be another shooting guard. evans is techniqually a SG, but he'll play the point with beno and sergio fighting for minutes off the bench.

btw...what's the news on iogu? i can't remember if he's restricted or unrestricted...that guy is a paint filler alright..

The Kings did the same thing

The Kings did the same thing with Diogu...he was restricted but they let him free so now he is Unrestricted. Last I heard though the Kings do want to resign Diogu. Not trying to keep talking about McCants but that is why I am kinda confused why the Kings let him go...since they need depth at SG. I agree about the defensive Center...to bad their isn't a good free agent like that. David Lee would help them out in the post but not on defense really.

ya

pretty much about lee. the nice thing about hawes is he can actually defend. he blocks shots pretty well also. that defensive center would take such a big load of work off of those 2 bigs.

i think they'll be able to find a SG in free agency.
