TimberTrollParticipantKG has reportedly waived his no-trade claus to clear the way for the Thad Young trade.
Very happy to have him back in Minnesota; should be a great mentor to Dieng and Payne.

Numbers_CruncherParticipantYes, in hindsight the Wolves messed up when they gave a 1st round pick for Thadeaus Young. But, I’m glad they didn’t compound the mistake by resigning Young. KG gives Minnesota something to feel good about, and I’m sure "the big ticket" will put some butts in the seats once again.
Goodluck to Thadeaus in Brooklyn. He’s had a tough year losing his mother to cancer and now being traded for the second time. He was playing much better before his mother passed. He just wasn’t the right fit in Minnesota as we need more rebounding and more of an interior presense.

Numbers_CruncherParticipantHe’s been gone from Minnesota for 7 years, but his most expensive home still resides there. Way to troll.

mgreener_34ParticipantIf there was any doubt in my mind that Wiggins wouldn’t be a star in the league, it is now completely gone. KG is one of the best mentors on and off the court in the NBA, and you know he’s going to be in these guys ears all day making sure they do what’s best for themselves and the team.

SnowtaParticipantThe people that ripped this trade don’t understand what Flip is trying to do. It’s not about what KG brings to the floor in terms of his talent at this point in his career. It’s about teaching these young guys how to play and to excite the fan base that, even with Andrew Wiggins and a promising young core, is still skeptical to get on board after a ten year playoff drought. I’m excited to see how Gorgui, Payne, and Bennett will learn from a Hall of Famer that is basically the only reason this team has ever gone to the playoffs. I also see him playing a big role in Wiggins development as I see a lot of parallels between the two. NBA teenage budding superstars with elite athleticism and potential. If there’s one thing I hope Wiggins learns from KG it’s how to play with more emotion and more energy. The rumor is the Wolves want to extend KG for 2 years this summer. While I admit I’m not crazy about having KG for TWO more years I do think it would be great to have him around the team beyond this year to really get these young players careers headed in the right direction.
