Am I the only one who thinks its like 90% that he ends up in Boston?

As a wolves fan that’s what I’d want but even with bias aside I feel like for Minnesota and him its the best option 2 1st round picks from btwon + their lottery pick to help rebuild around players of your choosing is always more preferable I feel like. Unless the warriors go all in and trade lee, Barnes, and Thompson which is a deal you can’t pass up but ud still have to resign klay in a year and Barnes shortly after.

Really though as an NBA fan who knows his fair shake those are the only 2 legit options out there the 3rd being no takers before the draft and Minny trades him to LA during the season for whatever they can get

but I think the most likely scenario still is the Wolves holding onto Love and hoping the team gells the way Portland did this past year.

I can’t disagree but that 90% is such an arbitrary number. I’m sorry it’s just a pet peeve of mine to throw around numbers that aren’t based off anything but speculation when it comes to probability. But I’d be happy to see Love in Boston. A.) I want him in the Eastern to make it a stronger conference. B.) Anywhere but the Lakers.

I definitely wouldn’t rule out the Cavs. The #1 pick, Waiters or Thompson, plus maybe a future first rounder might just be the best offer the Wolves can get,

That may be the best the Wolves get, but will Cleveland offer it? They could essentially be giving all of that up for a 1-2 loan of Kevin Love.

I think the Suns have the combination of picks and young players to get  a deal done for Love.

Yeah.  top 5 protected pick from LA next year plus 5 other 1st rounders in next two years.  Morris Bros, A. Goodwin, A, Len.  Could three way trade Bledsoe in a sign/trade if he really wants to go elsewhere this year.

He’s a west coast guy, so I think he’ll push for a team in Cali.  Impossible to guess exactly where though.  As a Bulls fan, I don’t really want him if we have to give up the house for him.

I’m pretty sure no one is giving up too much for him because he does not want to go to a gutted team, even if it is in LA. He has a legacy to think about. He has statistically been a dominant player for his entire career. The only thing diminishing him in the minds of the fans is the lack of success of his team. The only way to correct that (because we cannot possibly expect him to score much more or more efficiently or grab more rebounds to any meaningful extent) is to team up with better teammates. So he should not agree to a sign and trade to a gutted team. And with no sign and trade, everyone is just getting one year and bird rights. Not enough of an offer to give up much, especially since the more you give up the less likely you are to get Love to resign with you.

I could see possibly Cavs too because him and Kyrie are cool…  Maybe they can do what Bosh and Wade did and talk to LeBron in secret?  Lol…

But I’m positive he won’t go to Boston…  People forget he has say in where he want to end up and I’m sure Boston isn’t one of them.  Their best players outside of Rondo play his position…  Doesn’t make sense…

I hope he doesn’t go to Golden State IMO…  I like Steve Kerr, but the way they ousted Mark Jackson they don’t deserve to win…  "He need’s to learn how to manage up and sideways" nothing about on the court…  Another Jackson was similar and got rings for it… But whatev…

would it be crazy to think Love and Melo could end up in chicago…….yup i guess it would be. I really think Love will end up in Houston or Golden st as of right now b/c they both have the parts to make a pretty good trade and are playoff teams

Not enough balls in Houston for Harden, Dwight and Love.  The last thing Houston needs is another player looking to score 20+ a game.

actually, love could provide a balance for them, I mean the same could have been said for lebron wade and bosh, but if you truly know how great teams work then you would know that sacrifices will have to be made for the greater good of the team, having love play the tretch 4 position would really open the lanes more for harden, dwight and any one else

I knew someone would say this.  When the Heat joined up they voluntarily did so.  They were best friends who chose to go out of their way to team up.  None of them were selfish players before they joined forces.  One of them just so happened to be the best player in the world who is also one of the greatest selfless players to ever play the game.  And even with all of that working for them, it took about a season and a half to really mesh.

Now nothing about what I said about applies to Houston.  Harden is an extremely selfish player, really seems to not be interested unless he is creating for himself.  Dwight has proven to be a selfish player, everywhere he goes he wants more touches and more shine.  Yes Kevin Love is a great 3 point shooter, but delegating him to a "stretch 4" is marginalizing him.  They would definitely be a good team, but to compare them to the Heat is laughable, not even close to the same situation.

So I don’t know if everyone is like me and plays around on the trade machine for their Saturday afternoon, but I came up with a nice doozy of an idea today. It won’t happen, we know that. But it’s nice to see what other people think if it would work, who wins, who loses, and why. So here it is.

Minnesota trades: Love, Barea, and Budinger.

Minnesota receives: Green, Sullinger, Bass, Anthony, Delfino, pick #6, pick #17, and pick #31.

Minnesota lineup (without draft picks): Rubio (Shved), Martin (Delfino), Green (Brewer), Sullinger (Bass), Pekovic (Dieng).

Minnesota’s reasoning: This is a hell of a pull for Love. Good young(er) players in Green and Sullinger, multiple draft picks, 10 million in expiring contracts, and getting rid of 2 bigger contracts. This team could actually compete next year as they have lots of solid veterans, great depth, and lots of bigs. Add that to their 3 first round picks, and you got yourself a foundation. With those picks my idea would be to get developmental players or draft and stashers. My picks would be Lavine, Saric, and Nurkic. Well set up for the future.

Boston trades: Green, Sullinger, Olynyk, Wallace, Bass, Anthony, pick #6, and pick #17.

Boston receives: Love, Sanders, Mayo, and Budinger.

Boston lineup: Rondo, Mayo, Budinger, Love, Sanders.

Boston’s reasoning: they try to pull a 180 in the off season again by using Minnesota as their farm team (again) to develop a good power forward who is tired of losing. Also, they buy low on Sanders (a defensive center alongside Love) and Mayo who can still play pretty good ball. Maybe they can get some 2nd round picks from Minnesota or Milwaukee to fill out a roster. Celtics can also resign Bradley, Bayless, and Humphries. That’s a good starting lineup if everyone stays healthy and plays up to their expectations. Boston might be trading away their future, but some teams like to win now instead of rebuild.

Milwaukee trades: Sanders, Mayo, Delfino, and pick #31.

Milwaukee receives: Olynyk, Wallace, and Barea.

Milwaukee lineup (without draft picks): Knight (Wolters), Giannis (Barea), Ilyasova (Wallace), Olynyk (Middleton), Henson (Pachulia).

Milwaukee’s reasoning: Pretty much trying "addition from subtraction" getting rid of Mayo and Sanders who had bad attitudes and long/expensive contracts. They do have to take on Wallace’s horrible contract but he is a good veteran and costs less than Mayo+Sanders. Olynyk is a nice piece to add as he and Henson can make a good inside/outside combo down low. They’d still probably look to get rid of Ilyasova after this. Plus, any of the top 3 guys in the draft can fit with this team.

    So what you think?

Only was he goes to Boston is if they can put a team that contend together. I like the trade above especially if Mayo and Sanders play better than last year that would be a nice starting 5.
