He reminds me a lot like Kyle Lowry on the next level. Both are undersized combo guards, both very quick, but with the right pieces wing players that can shoot the 3 is what make them very successful. If Kemba does not have that he is relegated to a backup role/spot starting.

Marbury at worst? you mean he’ll come into the league, play very well for like 6-8 years, play OK for 3-4 years and decline?

Marbury was throughout most of his career a great player. how can he be Kemba’s worst case scenario?

    Ty Undersized Guard

    Kemba Undersized Guard

    Ty Fast as shiiit

    Kemba Fast as shiiit

    Ty crazy handle

    Kemba crazy handle

Ty will bang on you (DJ MBenga)

Kemba will bang on you (Jrue Holiday)

I think he will be a great back up and a good starter

Lawson is more of a pure point guard than Walker is. He is also much more efficient, and a much better playmaker.

You can think of a better comparison.

Does anyone else see a bit of Jonny Flynn/ Damon Stoudamire in this guy ? They’re all undersized PG’s that were able to score better than they could pass.

I do see a lot of Jonny Flynn in Kemba Walker. The Kyle Lowry comparison is valid as well.

Somebody mentioned Aaron Brooks a few months ago, and that’s one of my favorite comparisons.

I looked at Kemba and Kyle’s comparison, and believe it or not they both had similar player comparisons. I dont think that is coicidental at all. Just food for thought.

he reminds me most of jason terry…phenomenal quickness, good jump shot (though he will need to work on his efficiency), and clutchness…in his prime i could see him coming off the bench to score 16-18ppg

I see Kemba as more of a cross between Tim Hardaway and Ray Felton. (The Felton on this year when he was with the Knicks not Charlotte) But the Nick Van Exel comparison isn’t bad and I do like it.

I really like the Flynn comparison, Kemba attacks the basket very well for his size. Some of these comparisons are way off-base considering how well he gets in the paint compared to say…Jason Terry and Aaron Brooks, Nick Van Exel, these guys were really greay shooters, but Kemba’s more than just a shooter, he gets in the paint like a slashing 6’7” guard…either way, he could be special…

I think of Kemba Walker as a Rodney Stuckey type. He’s more of a scoring point guard than a passer, has good athleticism, and can drive and shoot. Just a thought.

I see Jonny Flynn in Walker. Scoring combo guards with a charismatic and fearless personalities, undersized 6′ guys, only average playmaking skills for others, good quickness and athleticism, streaky jumpers, and tough pressure defenders.

I don’t like the Aaron Brooks comparison because Walker isn’t nearly the pure shooter Brooks is, and I don’t like the Lowry comparison because Walker doesn’t have the bowling ball-type strength Lowry uses (on top of his quickness and athleticism) to make him a threat as an on-ball defender and slasher to the rim.

Is it just me or do I feel the suns should draft Kemba. Iknow his game is different than Nash’s, but he could mentor Kemba, and succeed him whn the time comes.

Also I know they dont have a lot a assets they would easily give up, but the worst statistical position for any team in the league……………… LA point guards, LAKER point guards!!! I love derek fisher, and he never dissapoints in crunch time, but they need to get younger and more athletic.

He’s Kemba Walker. Closer to Tim Hardaway/Damon Stoudamire mold. Really still needs to develop his playmaking skills and pure shooting. Otherwise shooting ability aside, He’s most like Brooks. He’s nowhere near the shooter or creative passer that Nick the Quick was pre Mavs.
