r377ParticipantKemba is nearing return, rumour has it he will come off the bench.
Kemba isn’t really a pass first PG. He is averaging 19-5a @ 40%fg and Charlotte went 16-26.
With Mo Williams, he is averaging 21.3-8.4a @ 45%fg and Charlotte have gone 6-1 in their past 7 games. Mo was just named Eastern conference player of the week and lets not forget the guy put up 52 points earlier in the season.

SgtMcSquigglesParticipantWhere are you seeing that Kemba will come off the bench? I’ve heard that they plan to start Mo and Walker together.

r377ParticipantI cannot remember where i saw it. My opening comment may have been misleading, it didn’t say he would come off the bench long term, but coming back from injury he would come off the bench…

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantWilliams just seemed like a stopgap solution when they acquired him but I don’t think they had any idea he would experience this kind of career revival. Dudes literally played as well or better than any point guard in the league not named Westbrook over the past month. I know Walker’s supposed to be one of your franchise guys but he’ll no doubt be rusty at least at first after such a long layoff. Even at full strength its hard to see him playing as well as Williams is right now and they don’t really have the time to let him find his rhythm as they are fighting for their playoff lives. I don’t think you can play them both together for long stretches because it creates to many defensive mismatches. I think you gotta keep going with the hot hand and continue to start Williams for the time being. Walker might not like it but if he’s a team player and leader he’ll accept it.

r377ParticipantVery interesting since the Pistons have gone 1-6 with their new PG (Reggie Jackson)

nath09ParticipantWhen the trade went down it just looked an addition of a journeyman for depth and leadership. Now he has been leading his team to a great record and as an afterthought for both Charlotte and Minny he has put up games in excess of 50 for one ball club and over 30 for the other. As stated above you have to stick with the hot hand. What a season for someone who wasn’t a major piece for anyone’s plans!

OhCanada-ParticipantWilliams kills it everywhere he goes. He has been constantly been proving doubters wrong his whole career. When is he going to get with an organization who sticks with him.
