XYRYXParticipantJust read Durant is leaving Pelinka to hook up with Jay-Z!
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/durant-leaves-agent-eyes-jay-032013861–nba.html
Seems like Jay-Z is getting really serious about representing top tier pro players adding one of the biggest names in Basketball. Didn’t expect Jay to land a homerun this early but this brand may lure many more athletes in todays social media loaded era. I’m expecting him to take a look at some of this years rookies too.
Any thoughts?

lestweforget23ParticipantThis years crop is pretty weak…I think Jay Z is already at a point where he can maneuver among the highest caliber of athletes…as the old adage goes “Rappers wanna be ball players, and ball players wanna be rappers”…plus, everything Jay Z touches turns into platinum (clothes, champagne, hip/hop, BEYONCE, shit even has a new cigar coming out) so why wouldn’t you want to sign with him? Most of these guys grew up idolizing Hova, true rags to riches american story no doubt

XYRYXParticipantBut you have to consider it’s way more complicated to lure players away from agents who have contracts by the way with the players then to go after NBA rooks who need to find an agency first. I see nothing wrong with going after someone like Oladipo even if you’re a household name like Jay-Z. You have to make a start first and you can’t only recruit proven players. Under Armor did the same with Jennings now with KD around there should have someone to build this brand around.

Lotto StudParticipantThis is something like a big deal. D-Jack fired Drew Rosenhaus earlier this week and is expected to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

IndianaBasketballParticipantKD wasn’t with Rob Pelinka for very long, but I’m surprised he left. Pelinka means business.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThe first triangle looking figure KD seems to symbolize, everyone will say he’s in the illuminati -__-
Jay-Z’s agency is looking forreal and solid. If he’s able to get Cruz, DJax, and KD; it will be completely legit.
