Who you rather build your team around between Kawhi Leonard or Paul George?????

     Paul’s brother Saul. He’s a better passer.

the Kawhi shade during the Finals has been absurd.  Saw someone on Twitter compare Kawhi to both Pippen and Drexler tonight.  Nobody else has ever benefitted more off of three good games.

     George.

Kawhi is good glue guy who is undoubtedly a future all star but George has proven he can be a 1st option (whether he’s best there remains to be seen) and can carry his team when he’s feeling it.

Paul George can carry his team where?

Kawhi showed us a lot the past two Finals.  Not sure what else he has to do.  He looks like the new Scottie Pippen with some Dennis Rodman mixed in.

Leonard pretty much did everything the past few games.  Don’t see many holes there.

Paul George is really good too, though.  Seems like he has more or a scorer’s mentality.

Maybe we settle this in next year’s NBA Finals.  Don’t rule it out.

I mean I like Leonard, but don’t be upsurd…  Pippen and Rodman?

His defense while admirable isn’t NEAR the level of Rodman or Pippen…  He’s long like Pippen, but that’s where the comparison ends.

He’s not a guy that you would depend on to get you 20+ points a game.  He’s just not right now…  He’s more Shawn Marion with a 3pt shot than Pippen and Rodman…  The Spurs flat out beat the hell out of the Heat and he wasn’t the only one that had a big hand in that.  He averaged 17 points this series and he played WELL…

Stop this non sense right now…

Woah. I love the kid but let’s pump the brakes until 4-6 years down the road when it’s him, maybe Tony Parker, Splitter and all the internationals they’ve stashed away. That is when you cab BEGIN to judge him as an individual basketball player and make comps to HOF players. Right now he is a cog that has shined brightly among 3 HOF veterans. Pop said it, not one play was ran for him. When the oldies retire and his number is called regularly is when his true standing, as basketball player in a historical sense, will shine through.

to start off i am a huge heat fan. I think Pop is the best coach in the league, with that said Leoanrd was so impressive. I was blown away, i honestly believe he has the heart that PG lacks. MAYE alot of it’s due to the fact that he has a great coach and motivator, but he did not back down what so ever against the best in the world, a position george has consistently been in and folded. I’m not so convinced PG is the better defender anymore, id still give george the nod as a scorer. Maybe leonard is the flavor of the week but wow impressive, he broke my heart lol but the kid can play, how did he go unnoticed in the draft.

wow that’s unbelievable, I would bank on kawhi’s offense being light years behind what it is now though. but still that kind of length and athleticism at the wing position with the ability to lockdown defenders. talk about Indiana’s own “Doberman Defense”

I honestly feel the two are very similar, but George definitely separates himself with his ability to create for himself which makes him a #1 option type player. If you were to put George on the spurs this past playoffs he would’ve had the same effect Kawhi did. But if you put Kawhi on the pacers this year I doubt he would’ve been more consistent than George (while George wasn’t that consistent himself). Although this guy’s not crazy for comparing the two, I can see the similarities.

I wonder the same exact thing. I do agree with you, I think being the number one option he may have underwhelmed but we will never know. He looked great tho. I love LeBron I wanted to see the 3 peat, but Leonard has been so impressive to me. Gotta respect that front office and pop. It’s not like that got this guy on a miracle trade for the number one pick, hell some scouts didn’t even think he’d go 1st round. sad abt the loss but so impressed with Leonard and he was so respectable the whole way through, from struggling early to getting on fire he had the exact same blanl look on his face. he was FOCUSED, I like that kid

I feel that those two are what wiggins will be . A khawi /Paul G type of player makes huge impacts on d and gets his own offense in variety of ways plus super athletic both lack meanstreaks in offense at time just like wiggins. that’s why I don’t like the carter or mcgrady comparisons.
I say Paul George because his offense ability kwhai isn’t a player to build “around” hes more 3 and d with a side of hustle

Its George right now. A much more dynamic scorer and passer. Kawhi is awesome, but he benefits from the lack of expectations with not being a main focus…nobody said anything about his struggles in Game 1…people would have been all over George.

Different roles for two entirely different teams makes it difficult to choose one over the other. I’m just enjoying watching two Southern California LA area guys blossom into really good NBA players.  Both will play a large role in the future of the NBA.

Paul George is clearly the more talented player but Leonard is obviously the better fit next to Parker and Duncan.
