jazz270ParticipantA rival draft site is reporting that the rumors of bad knees for Enes Kanter were unsubstantiated and not true.
Not very cool to start something like that for a young man trying to make something out of himself.
Please fall to the Jazz, Enes. You and Memo can talk Turkey all you want. No link for this, but it’s the other big site.
Also, Jimmer reportedly nailed his workout at Indy, torching Nolan Smith and hitting 15 in a row in the 3 pt shooting drill, then finishing with 21-26. Bird apparently loves Jimmer, who just set his floor for the draft at 15.
Hope that link works.
I really want the Jazz to draft Kanter and Jimmer…..A match made in heaven.

jazz270ParticipantAh, Larry Bird. I thought for a minute you meant Larry Miller was pulling some strings from where he is now.
Damn, I miss the funny little guy. Great owner.

swishh_15ParticipantYou really want the jazz to draft 3 white guys in a row with lottery picks? (Gordon hayward last season) doesn’t really seem like a recipe for success in today’s NBA.

jazz270ParticipantJust want the Jazz to draft the best players available. Now if Williams or Irving were there at 3, you have to take them.
Also, if by some chance Burks drops, I’d prefer him as well.
It’s beginning to look like Jimmer might go in the top 10, so the point might be mute.
I was really ticked off when the Jazz drafted Hayward last year, got up and left the ESA in a huff, didn’t stay for the second pick for the first time ever. I wanted Paul George bad…
But Hayward was the right pick. The kid is going to be a star. Rumor has it Kobe wants Hayward for the Lakers real bad.
Can’t have him.

swishh_23ParticipantI couldn’t agree more with what you said. I have the exact same feelings regarding the Jazz’s draft and Hayward and George last year.
I am a little scared that Kanter has Bust written all over him. We have seen this story before it seems with unproven big men…0- Posted on: Wed, 06/01/2011 - 12:58pm #538813
swishh_23ParticipantI was referring to Jazz270 by the way on your comment about taking Williams or Irving obviously if available and how Hayward could become a star..
I had to create a new username because I couldn’t post anything with my one before because it said every comment I tried flagged the spam filter?0

AllDayyyParticipantPlease fall to the Jazz? It’s lke you think he’s being projected everywhere to go top 2

Memphis MadnessParticipantAllDayyy,
Kanter could go 2. If he is good as some of the hype suggests then he might not be there at 3. Teams win with elite wing players, elite big men, and above-average point guards. If Kanter can turn into an elite big man then the T Wolves should look at him. With Kevin Love on the team they aren’t going to run that much anyway so they might as well get a good center.
At 12, Jimmer has an elite NBA skill (shooting 3 pointers) and, in this draft, you are hoping to get a guy (outside of the lottery at least) with one good skill that will translate to the NBA.

Mr. 19134ParticipantThe year a PG wins the MVP and Irving is considered the first pick at the very worse the 2nd you are going to say teams win with above average PG’s.
All the white player jokes are getting as old as the black quarterback jokes in football. Why does every white athlete lack athleticism and every black athlete lack intelligence and maturity. I dunno but it’s not true.
And I’d love to see a link for Kobe wanting Gordan Hayward. Paul George would of been the 3rd pick in this draft if he stayed for his Jr. year.

JoeWolf1The Larry drafting white players was a funny joke, but it’s played out. Most of all because it isn’t true, a few years ago the Pacers had a very white team, but I don’t think Larry has drafted a white guy since like the 2nd round of 2004 or 5.

JNixonParticipantLarry Bird drafting Lance Stephenson was definitely the water in the fire for the "Larry Bird only picks white players" argument for me.

R-Dot-13ParticipantIf Jimmers gone, I guess Larry will pick Klay Thompson then
