I feel like hes a bit like Luis Scola. Limited mobility but could be very effective. His knees will prob fail and he will have to learn to play below the rim like Scola does.

"Kanter will be at Kentucky next year and he’s a beast, the Turkish Karl Malone, " said Fraschilla.

A more mobile Marc Gasol.  Or a 6’11 Kevin Love.

I like the Kevin Love comparison Kanter is real good. it sucks that we never got to experience his play this year. Next year UK might have another Five first round with his coming back.

Yeah Kanter is done, no college for him, where is this next year talk coming from?

Not only that he has said his goal the whole time is to play in the NBA and with the potential to be the first pick in this years draft why would he even want to go back to Kentucky?

He actually wanted to play college ball and was willing to come back next year if he was able to play. But now thats out the window so it doesn’t matter

I’ve never seen him play besides highlights. Is he really a true center? Or is his mobility and size better suited at PF?

I saw him play a couple years ago, he reminded me of Bogut and Milsap but he has a jumper. I think he’s gonna be a stud wherever he goes in the NBA.

I have always thought of him as a true Center.  Is this accurate from what you saw?

He has range and he’s 6-11. I think he could be a power forward at times from what I saw. His rebound is so-so but he might have improved on it since then.

I seen him at 16-18 years old, he looked really good. Smooth overall player

Yeah he can play Center or PF. This isnt the same NBA of yester year, pretty much A PF can play C these days

Yea his game is prolly much improved since then.  From the highlights I saw and everything I have read, he seems to be a solid center who can play the 4 if need (not many teams are going to have a better C than him thou.)  I would LOVE for my Sixers to get him.  He could be the missing piece to the puzzle.

Kanter is the perfect hybrid big man too because of his skill set.  He sort of reminds me a lot of Al Jefferson the more I think about it.  Kanter doesn’t have a huge wingspan only 7’1 which is not great for a center by any means. But his toughness in the post compensates for what he lacks physically.  He just got that Pivot Man mentality.  He is equally effective on the block as he is in the high posts and always crashes for the board.  He has better mobility and explosiveness then given credit for and will surprise people with his quickness for his size.

I thought Kanter would be able to play college ball but it wasn’t meant to be…its a shame too, because he was becoming a folk hero in Kentucky…when I was there the town just seemed to be brimming with hope for Kanter to play…now I think he’s a small center…but then again so is Horford and Cousins if you think 6’10 is small, now Kanter can play both Pf and C…but he’d be great at C because of the lack of good big men…I think A tougher Horford is a good comparrison to start with…Bogut is a good comparison too…but it depends on his measurments turn out…if he is a true 6’11 then he is going to go very high in the Draft, I can’t see him anywhere but Toronto or Minnesota honestly, I can’t see him dropping to the teens where my Sixers while likely fall…we are in draft purgatory….

Al Jefferson is a fair comparison but Kanter has a jumper and he has range. Like Okur type range

Haha that’s a funny ass term.  Yea there is no chance of Kanter dropping to the 14-18 range; I was more so considering acquiring him via trading up in the draft.

Kanter can shoot but he does not have Okur type range. Okur has shooting guard range, Kanter does not

He is a good midrange shooter though and has shown from time to time to be able to extend it a lil but he has never shown the ability to hit the NBA three

Atleast the Sixers picked a good draft to get a mid teens pick because they’re is going to be some good power forwards still left in the draft with potential.  I am a big Jonas V. fan and think he could turn out better then Kanter.  He could still be there at around 16.  Another guy i wouldn’t mind the Sixers reaching for with that pick is K. Faried.  I think Faried is going to produce no matter where he goes and is a freak athlete with a relentless motor.

I would love to take a chance on Jonas if he’s still there cuz that kid has potential.  I don’t know much about Faried; have you had a chance to see him play?

I’ve seen Kanter shoot 3’s and actually make them. I think he can hit a couple if needed to but he won’t be locked onto the perimeter like Okur is.

Yea I think Kanter would be more effective down on the low block.  We got enough 7 footers who shoot 3’s in the league right now.  Having the ability to hit them isn’t a bad thing thou.

Yea college Threes and thats rae. I haven’t seen alot of Games but from everything ive read and seen (draftexpress has seen many games) all say he can hit the college three sometimes but thats as far as his range goes. Okur of course has deeper range that he hits more consistantly. Kanter does have the ability to eventually get to that level if he can already shoot. Chances are he might not because teams want a C who can shoot but play’s more downlow.
