AdamJCallejaParticipantMan how great was this game. It had it all, the most entertaining game I’ve seen all season behind the UK Louisville game. Rick Barnes was just out coached by Bill Self. Myles Turner showed good touch but is strictly a rim protector in my eyes right now. Isaiah Taylor’s floater is a thing of beauty. Frank Mason is the real deal. Selden needs another year although I live his effort and intensity. Alexander’s energy is always a joy to watch. Oubre was cold from deep but he is so smooth and slippery when attacking the rack, just oozing potential. Brannen Greene might be the best pure shooter behind Forte in the Big 12. This game was awesome.

JoeWolf1That was the best I’ve seen Kansas look all year. 0 second half turnovers. That is an insane number for a team so young.

Jayhawks2011ParticipantKansas’ PG position has been a weakness in the past few years with Tharpe playing a lot of minutes. However this year Frank Mason has made an incredible leap. He is one of the top PG’s in the nation, not really a pro prospect but is the ideal 4 year player. He is only a sophomore and has been incredible scoring in double digits in like 12 out of 15 games or something. Also, Graham is a fun player to watch. A pure point guard who is great at setting his teammates up. Again not really a pro prospect, so these two together for the next three years is gonna be scary.
*Greene will be a better NBA player than Selden. Anyone else on board with this?

JoeWolf1Agreed, Jayhawks on Greene. He just screams shooting specialist in the NBA to me.

ChewyParticipantSimiliar to what Jayhawk touched on, there are alot of great teams that are young, but this KU team has a lot of great, young players who will most likely stay for next year and possibly all four years. That’s not normal.
The only one for sure gone is Oubre and then possibly Cliff. Everyone else is coming back. Selden hasn’t shown enough improvement and consistency. Self has barely played Svi, but I think he breaks out next year. Grenne had a great game today, but he still can’t even crack the starting line up.
KU’s championship aspirations next year are looking better than this year.
