SoIntentionalParticipantJust Resigned With The Cavs. 5 yes 110 mill. I actually think they playe better with Thompson & Mozgof In the Front Court. If anything happens this season and Love becomes a distraction before the all star break I think he’ll be moved.

ZachAttackParticipantBad move on both sides. Love should know that he could play better on a different team and the Cavs did better when he wasn’t on the floor.

IndianaBasketballParticipantCavs also giving Thompson $80 million. Sheesh.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantKeep hearing their not so secret weapon is being able to trade Brendan Haywood. Set to make a non-guaranteed $10.5 million this season and whichever team acquires him is free to waive him immediately with no consequence to their cap space.

Reptilian MonkParticipantI think this is a good move for Love, it shows that he is committed to taking the 3rd role behind Lebron and Kyrie and it is good he is accepting this and not thinking he can lead a team to a championship. Also shows he is in it to win a championship and truly is all in for the team. He sat out many fourth quaters and him now taking a long term deal shows he is committed to the team. Better option than him going to Lakers or Celtics being the best player, putting up big numbers, and limted team sucess like in Minnesota. Cavs were 33-3 after the trades when Lebron, Kyrie, Love were all healthy.

Andrew1984ParticipantThe "Kevin Love wants to leave Cleveland because he is not happy with his role" talk was INSANE and was coming from people who do not pay attention.
Love’s last couple years in Minnesota, all he talked about was wanting to contend, play in the playoffs, and compete for titles. What kind of flake would he have to be to do a total 180 after only one year, and want to go back to scoring tons of points and taking tons of shots for a team that is not a legitimate title contender (Lakers, Celtics)?
Everyone who was suggesting this possibility must not think much of Kevin Love’s character or decision-making.

wonzi_bellsParticipantI don’t think those talk were unwarranted and I believe them to be true. It’s not an "either/or" situation. He can be on a contending team and still have a role that shows off all his facets as a player, which clearly didn’t happen with the Cavs last season with his being parked behind the three-point line.
It’s human nature to want the perfect scenerio, so I, personally, wouldn’t judge him. But taking a five year deal seems like he threw away some of his leverage in the prime of his career. Like, I’m afraid if the Cavs decide to trade him in a couple of years since he’s not the most perfect max player fit next to Lebron and he has no trade clause. Good for him that he got enamored by the run LeBron and the Cavs did to get to the Finals without him and it shows that he’s into winning but like I said earlier, it’s not an "either/or" situation.

HitsterParticipantThe Cavs really needed to retain him or do a quality level Sign and Trade after giving up Wiggins to get him. LBJ probably wanted K-Love back too and with the cap going up so much next year, the Cavs might have got K-Love a lot cheaper than they wouldhave done next summer especially if he has a big year this year.
Good to see Thompson rewarded too.
Haywood’s contract is a great trading chip as any team looking to create cap space would be interested in it and the Cavs created it for just that reason. This will no doubt come into play in the next week or so, contenders may be reluctant to make the Cavs even stronger and the Cavs may not want to allow a true rival to create cap spaceto sign a top FA. But I can see a mutal deal being done with a team a little bit down the rankings.

Memphis MadnessParticipantDo more LeBron-Love pick and rolls/pick and pops. Use Kyrie Irving off the ball, with the other big (either Mozgov or TT) as a last second dump-down guy.
The Cavs CLEARLY have to run more offense/sets through Kevin Love. They just can’t sit him in the corner, 20 plus feet away from the basket.
I would also expect more small ball with Love and TT as the bigs, or ULTRA SMALL with LeBron and Love as the bigs.
They still need help on the wings.
That might be a lot of money for Kevin Love, but if LeBron wants Love, ya pay Love.

Memphis MadnessParticipantA team has to give up real, live assets for Brendan Haywood. Why would a team do that? Just to waive a guy? So you pay a guy $2.2 million then you overpay a 3 and D guy?

VRod305ParticipantI don’t get why he is playing on a team that doesn’t utilize him correctly. Cavs were better in the Finals without Love and Irving. LeBron would have been better off drafting R.J. Hunter, letting go of Love, trading Irving and signing a real point guard like Brandon Knight that is actually a point guard, not a ballhog.

sitlbitoParticipantI actually like K.Love honestly. Dude doesn’t like drama. Signs his contract, said all the right things all year, while the media was trying to find something to write about. He gave them nothing except that he would come back. He did
