Anybody think he has a least a small chance to play at the next level? I know it’s a longshot due to his size but we’ve seen small guards make it before against the odds.

For those who aren’t familiar Robinson is the starting pg for Monmouth university and reigning MAAC POY. He is absolutely one of the most entertaining players to watch in college bball despite the fact he is probably only about 5-7 in shoes. If you haven’t seen him play I’d advise you to check him out.

If I had to make a realistic comparison for him it would be Andre Barrett who, if some may recall, did have a cup of coffee in the NBA.

Oh god please tell me I’m not the only one who thought at first this thread was about Justin Robinson from Duke (David Robinson’s son) haha.

I’m biased Justin is a close friend of mine. He’s an amazing athlete for his size he can extremely quick and strong. I know he won’t dunk in NBA games but he can dunk threw the legs and windmill. If he’s to stand a chance at the next level he needs to cget mutinies to shot the ball well from deep particularly if they face a high major in the tournament or in the NIT. The problem is who will he guard at the next level it’s not an effort thing it’s simply bigger guards will just shoot over him at that level. He’s done an amazing job of not being a liability in the MAAC but this is a huge leap we’re talking about. I wouldn’t be surprised for him to latch on and make an impact in summer league and give a GM a tough decision.

Struggles against bigger defenders with the athletecism to keep up with him, the type that are in the NBA.  The best perimeter defender in the MAAC is Chazz Patterson from St. Peter’s and Robinson was terrible in both matchups (13-41 FG), was only able to score when Patterson switched off him on screens.
