SkalAndJamalParticipantFirst I like to thank Taylor for introducing Kay Helder from Oakland, I went back to watch some of this kid’s games from earlier in the season, and he’s real. Doing work right now vs Michigan state. He’s a NBA player.
1. Did you know Scottie for the 2nd 3-peat for the Bulls wouldn’t stop demanding a trade because of the $ he was making? Phil when he was with the Bulls made it an "us" v "them" when it came to players and staff vs management. So much dysfunction for one of the greatest teams ever. Interesting thing to think about.
2. Arvydas Sabonis. Some of you guys like myself were wondering what’s so great about this guy he didn’t do much for the Blazers. Well Sabonis was basically the Wilt of international bball, and the reason why he wasn’t so great in the NBA was cause he was way past his prime. Imagine if he was playing against a prime Robinson, Ewing, Shaq, Dream.
3. #1 player of the 2018 class, Marvin Bagley leaves #1 of the 2017 class DeAndre Ayton and Hillcrest hoops and is attempting to go back to his former school, Corona Del Sol.
4. #1 player of the 2016 class Josh Jackson has some sketch ish going on with him. As some of you might wondered why did John Calipari stop recruiting Josh so early? Well Josh, dropped out of the private school, that is to be associated with prolific prep, Justin-Siena, and now is home schooled! And as you guys can now get the idea, this guy is doing absolutely nothing in terms of school work. Cal found this a little too much for him to handle in terms of keeping him eligible and trying to convince Josh to go to class in Kentucky. Especially since Cal’s image is on thin ice cause the media is just ready to jump on the next chance to call him a cheater.
#1 and #2 for resources look at bball reference for Sabonis, and on YouTube look up "top 5 reasons you can’t blame Jerry Krause". #3 be patient and #4 just don’t be surprised.

ChoppyParticipantHe was one of my favourite players growing up. If it wasn’t for the Cold War would’ve played his best basketball in the NBA. As it was, he was past his prime but still a great player. High IQ, the first "Stetch centre" I can remember watching, good in the post, solid rebounder.
I always picked him in my teams for NBA Live ’95!

Hype MachineYou can watch footage of Sabonis going head to head with David Robinson at an international event and the Admiral was basically helpless against his strength and skill.
His hook shots and passing were above anything we see from todays bigs.

DukeDaSquadParticipantBased on what Ive read on Bagley, I believe he(his father) only tried to return to his former school after he learned that they would be playing on national television. That was one of his main reasons for leaving Hillcrest. I think its stupid that at this point in his basketball career it matters to him or his father whether or not he will be on tv

ProximoParticipantUK’s compliance dept red-flagged Josh Jackson, not Coach Cal.

GBeeParticipantSo Josh Jackson is supposedly home schooled, yet we’re supposed to know that he’s doing nothing academically? Sounds like BS. His mom holds workshops to educate parents of players on NCAA eligibility and the recruitment process both from an academic and athletic perspective. I mean one of the reasons why she started his AAU team was to provide awareess of the recruitment process to parents so that they could be more involved as opposed to recruiters (and others) going directly through the players or their coaches. I find it hard to believe that a mom would take those initiatives to educate parents and promote awareness, then allow her son to sit at home and do jack sht.
So Cal stopped recruiting Josh, yet a guy like Izzo (or Self, Miller, etc) is still in…because why? Because Coach Izzo has less integrity? Sure.

SkalAndJamalParticipantCal got more to lose obviously, not rocket science. And so what, cause his mom is controlling ish doesn’t mean he’s suddenly doing a lot of work at home lol

GBeeParticipantHow does he have more to lose than Izzo, Self and Miller, etc?
She is controlling, but she is very much involved. She goes out of her way to educate parents of recruits about of all things (among others), NCAA eligibility. She is controlling and an advocate for promoting awareness of these issues, so my bet is on her staying on top of what Josh is doing.
Your "gift" just sounds like another BS rumor.

SkalAndJamalParticipantUm if you don’t know what a lot of people are saying about what "really happened" at UMass and Memphis as to why Calpari left each program and you don’t see how little effect a scandal had on a guy like Roy Williams, than there’s not much arguing a guy can do.
How about if he guys to Arizona , you make the trip to Tucson and ask around if Josh is going to class. How about you do that.

GBeeParticipantPlease. A scandal is a scandal. None of these guys can afford to risk a reputation hit, yet Miller, Izzo and Self are still in it.
To me it just sounds like sour grapes. The Jacksons aren’t interested in UK. Get over it.
How about you stop asking stupid questions?
