BasketballJunkie224ParticipantAs a former josh smith fan, are they serious by expecting him to be picked 60th in the 2014 draft? i mean i know its the last pick and means almost nothing but if anyone thinks this guy can play in the nba then you are OUT of your mind. Not saying that everything is based on 1 play(cause it definitely isnt) but anyone who airballs a layup on the break like that is NOT an nba player. future nba players dunk that sh*t home. hes gonna have to improve miraculously to play in the nba. but for that matter anyone can improve tremendous amounts and play in the nba right? why do they think HE will be a good fit in the nba? I dont understand

llperezwas at the game vs indiana state. Very dissapointed by what I saw. Not in shape. Struggle smoving his feet on defense so any nba big with speed will blow by him. He set a screen for kyle anderson on one play, and the roll right down the center of the lane for an easy dunk was there for the taking and kyle threw the pass perfectly but josh didnt roll hard and the ball ended up out of reach and went out of bounds. Anderson threw his hands in the air in disgust. Any big who wants to play in the the nba has to be able to hustle. You cant just be big and skilled which josh most certainly is both of those things.
Hope he gets it together. All you can really say about him getting drafted is whther or not he works out more and eats healthier.

omphalosParticipantJosh Smith really impressed me last season in a game against Washington, but he was still in appalling shape, he’s just like Renardo Sidney, all the talent but none of the work ethic needed to succeed.

BasketballJunkie224Participantbut i mean think about him in the NBA. i cant even fathom that picture in my head. Renardo sidney is twice as good and he wont even play
