Coby KarlParticipantIt’s no secret that Atlanta is shopping Josh Smith. As a possible suitor I think a perfect fit would be Boston. The trade would look something like this.
Boston gets-
Josh SmithAtlanta gets-
Jeff Green
Jason Terry or Barbosa
2015 1st Round Pick Top 10 protectedBoston does this trade because the are obviously in a win-now situation and I don’t see them getting past the 2nd round with the team they have now. With Josh Smith they get a versatile 3/4 who can help KG on the boards. Also Rondo & JSmith are close friends from high school and that might give them a good core three for the future (Rondo,Avery,JSmith). If not able to resign him then his contract is off the books and creates some room for future moves.
Atlanta does this trade be because they are looking for the best trade and possible for Josh Smith while still remaining in playoff contention. Jeff Green is coming on strong and is basically a Josh Smith lite with a more comfortable contract. Also with their recent string of guard injuries Terry or Barbosa can help out immediately. A 1st round pick for the future also may look good depending how the Celtics go on after KG and Pierce.

FearTheStacheParticipantAs much as I want Smoove on the Celts, I would just hope to god he doesn’t get a large max deal. A 12-14 mill deal would be ideal. Although I am a Celtics fan, I think this trade would be great. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=afd5ay5

Ny2daDeathOFmeParticipantI like that trade for every team.
Bucks get a big who you can rely on to score
Philly gets a versitle all star in smith who would pare up with bynum well
& the hawks get a center so they can slide al to the pf and they get a potential stud in turner who’s playing pretty well this year0- Posted on: Sun, 02/10/2013 - 12:17pm #746228
FearTheStacheParticipantRight? I think it’s the perfect trade. Who would say no?

tblazer_NZParticipantI like the trade but how well would Josh Smith fit with Thad Young?
Both would want to play the 4 because neither are 3’s.0- Posted on: Sun, 02/10/2013 - 2:08pm #746259
FearTheStacheParticipantThad could come off the bench, like he used to. If not, you could always do this. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=alf4at2
