valentineboth 6’4 200lb type sg’s, both can fill it up and both have been on a tear with 20+ points regularly for losing teams.
who has more upside, and who would you rather take?

OhCanada-ParticipantIve always loved Crawford and thought he shpuldve gone higher in the draft. Id say it is about even between those 2, but my hope are out for Crawford to develop into a great scorer.

B FreeParticipantWhile I like both of them I think Jordan has more potential. He also is slightly more athletic and has a 6’7 wing span compared to 6’5 of Thornton, which means he should, if he works hard, habe a chance to be a better defender. They can both score from every where even though Jordans 3 pt % is down in college he shot 40%. Marcus has proved more though by putting up numbers last year on a better team and shooting 43% from 3.

JNixonParticipantI think Thornton is better and will continue to be, but they are both instant offensive pieces on a team who aren’t going to be great defenders for more than spurts at a time. I just would rather have Thornton because he’s more athletic it seems, and he’s a better pure shooter.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantI’ve always liked Jordan Crawford (shouts out to Xavier) so I’m not that surprised that he’s stepping up with Nick Young out.
But how on earth is Marcus Thornton dropping 22 PPg in 15 games with Sacto?!?!?
This is ridiculous!

kobyzParticipanti’ll go with Thorton, even though they very similar and same style of player. but i think Thornton a little bit more rounded and more decisive!

sheltwon3ParticipantPart of me wants to rep LSU but Crawford is the better defender and maybe just a tad bit behind Thornton as scorer

Ghost01ParticipantI love Jordan Crawford’s game, and if i was Washington, he is the only non-John Wall player im not trading.
But Thornton is better. This guy was doing it last year, then mysteriously could see the floor this year on a team that was poor offensively, and now is filling it up. The Kings suck but dude dropped 42 the other night…

JoeWolf1Tony Delk dropped 50, to me…Thornton and Crawford are almost identical to Delk, they can fill it up no doubt, but they wouldn’t start on a team that actually had a good SG on their roster. I’m not trying to crap on anyone’s love fest, but they’re both good NBA players that will play a decade in the league and be bench scorers, they fill a team need, but don’t expect any career 20 point scorers or All-Star bids.

OhCanada-ParticipantDont overlook the 22 points 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Even Evans wasnt doing that and everyone always preaches on how great he is, yet he also plays very little defense. We should all put this into perspective and appreciate the great play Thornton is entertaining us with. He is obviously a rare offensive talent and a rising star in this league even if his game is best suited for the bench.
